does anyone know where the microsoft mpeg2multiplexer is?

and how to get it back after it disapears?

and why does twinhan driver remove it?

There was a thread in another area that got snipped and It dealt with this topic, I couldn't find out more unfortunately.

I managed to get cyberlink MUX, but where do you get Intervideo MUX

and how do you select which MUX to use?

and which is better and why ?

The twinhan software unregisters the Microsoft Demultiplexer for bizarre reason. I dont know why. You can re-register it with the following:

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\mpg2splt.ax

I managed to get cyberlink MUX, but where do you get Intervideo MUX

I wouldnt bother trying the Intervideo mux. Its the worst of the bunch.

and how do you select which MUX to use?

On the misc tab of the config app. You can check which muxes are actually available on your machine with the MuxChecker utility. There is no point in configuring it to use one you dont have.

and which is better and why ?

The Microsoft DVR-MS and Cyberlink mux options seem to be the best. If you get a bad one you could have crappy playback, out of sync, stuttering playback etc. There is lots of versions of the Cyberlink mux, with people having varying success so try them yourself and find one that works well for you. Dont ask me were to get them, use the forum search feature instead.
