I just got a Twinhan 1027 DVB-S card. I installed it in my PC and only installed the Twinhan BDA driver from their web site. To configure in GBPVR I selected the BDA Recording Plugin. I am not sure which device to select. I see a Twinhan DVB-S, Twinhan DVB-S (PCI), Twinhan DVB_S (DVB_TV....)

I get an error that it is unable to start the BDA device because it failed to locate the BDA capture device. I tried a couple of the above selections with the same error. Should I install the supplied Twinhan software first or does this screw me up with BDA drivers?

If you tick the 'only show devices detected in this machine' checkbox, does it list a device? If not, we'll probably need to add a new section to bda.ini. To do this run FilterCheck, then zip and attach the filtercheck.log: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...ostcount=6

It does not list a device. I will run the filter check.

Try adding the following to bda.ini:

[Twinhan DVB-S (model 1027)]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-S
FILTER_TUNER=DTV-DVB 1027 DVBS BDA Tuner Filter
FILTER_CAPTURE=DTV-DVBS 878 Digital Capture Filter
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

Sub, I added that in to the bda.ini. Then I changed it in config. I had it only show installed devices and it showed the 1027. But then I tried to map the channels and got the same message about it not being able to find the capture device. At the moment I am just trying to get it setup but do not have my dish installed yet. I realize it won't find any channels, but wanted to test to see if the rest of it was set up and ready. Since the error seems to be in finding the card, does any of the other settings make any difference for the moment? (like which sat)

Can you click the 'map digital channels to epg channels' button, then zip and attach the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log.

Sorry, there was a typo in my post above. It should have been:

[Twinhan DVB-S (model 1027)]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-S
FILTER_TUNER=DTV-DVB 1027 DVBS BDA Tuner Filter
FILTER_CAPTURE=DTV-DVB 1027 DVBS BDA Capture Filter
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
