I possibly missed something obvious but I can not find the upgrade procedure on the WIKI or forum.

I'm running 93.10 and want to upgrade to the latest gbpvr while keeping database information, currently scheduled recordings and plug-in settings if possible.

In the config I have the plugins TV Guide, Live TV, Net Radio, Weather, Xrecord, XSearch , Xguide, Shutdown and Videos checked. I'm also using an MVP.

So what I assume would work is
1. Backup the existing gbpvr directory.
2. Download and install the new version
3. Download and install the plug-ins above

And will I still maintain my current database, scheduled recordings and plug-in settings?

Unless something goes terribly wrong (which it shouldn't) your settings should be kept, except for maybe some of the plugins settings. I know, for example, that the weather settings will be reset to some place on the other side of the world ;-)
I'm not always right

Other things I notice that aren't kept during an upgrade.
1) Settings in the direct.ini (manual brightness)
2) If you change the bitrate of "medium" in the config.exe.
3x MVPs (not used anymore)
XBMC
Hauppauge 150 via SVideo
Comcast Digital Cable
Motorola HD Cable box channel changed via Firewire
Vista Home Premium with RDP hack
AMD Athalon 64 5000+
340gig sata, plus 80SATA+3x160IDE Drives in XP machine for storage.

That doesn't seem to bad - not sure why I was expecting it to be more difficult.

I think I was adding in the process that I was reading about to transfer settings to a new installation like exporting the db and all that.

appreciate the info

At a minimum you should make a backup of the gbpvr.mdb and config.xml (it's a good idea to do this regularly, especially before upgrading or playing around with any configuration settings). One other thing that will not get retained after an upgrade is MAC-specific MVP settings in config.xml

upgrade went pretty well -
something to add to the check list
The EPG Days setting reset to 7 when I had it set for 14 so a few scheduled recordings got deleted.
This can be resolved by reconfiguring settings for EPG source after the upgrade.
