If its a problem on your PC, just install one of the many time sync utilities already available. I think XP might even have something built in.

I dont know. Use google - I'm sure you'll find one pretty easily. I dont think I've touched my PC time in 2 years.

I use "Atomic Clock Sync" (free). Can be found at downloads.com and syncs daily (if off by >15sec).

XP only does it once a week and I got tired of setting up a week's worth of recordings and having them gradually get out of sync.

Try "About Time" from http://www.arachnoid.com/abouttime/index.html.
It's free and configurable to synchronise as often as you want. If you have a home network you can sync one machine from the internet and the rest locally by getting About Time to act as a time server.

My machines are never out by more that 500 milliseconds.

Be careful, tho. Some of the clock synchronizers contain adware and other nefarious junk.

I've used this one for several years: http://www.thinkman.com/dimension4/

About Time definately contains NO adware. I have used it for years too and I keep my systems very clean.

This one is free, w/ no adware. It does all it needs to do, w/ almost 0 overhead.

Don't trust the internal XP one. If it works for you, great, but I have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd hand accounts/experiences where it can be just plain wrong. Don't know if it can't get it right or it just fails to connect often.

I can second About Time, it's a terrific synchronization tool. Turn off Windows Time Service! It's more trouble than it's worth.
