'Attempt to divide by zero' error when try to play an MP3

When trying to play an MP3 I get the error message 'Attempt to divide by zero'. And the the music player/plugin quits out.

At first I thought it was an error with the music plugin I'm working on but then I tried the same MP3 in My Music and Music Albums and I get the same error.

The MP3 plays fine using iTunes and Windows Media Player on the same PC but funnily enough not on my phone (SE K750i).

I guess its something to do with the type of MP3 (bit rates etc) but if GBPVR uses WMP codecs how come it fails in GBPVR but not in WMP?

Any ideas?

gbpvr uses directshow to do all its file playback (well im pretty sure it uses directshow for music, i know it does it for video), just reencode the mp3 file, its probably corrupt.

It's actually quite a few of my MP3's. Seems to be maybe how they were ripped as it's commonly whole albums. Will try to figure out what the connection is with all of them as I can't belive they have all become corrupt!

But if there's no other way then I guess it re-encode 3000+ files

if its that many try it on a different machine (still using gbpvr) it might be a codec/filter issue.

I'm running GBPVR on both of the rigs in my sig, same problem. But then again they are pretty much identical builds software wise. Think I might try some testing with diff types of MP3 (bit rate, pro, VBR etc). Any other thoughts reven mate?

OMG It was the artwork on the MP3s. Delete the artwork and they all play. Put it back on fresh and they play fine.

Thinking about it most of the MP3s that fail are ones that I riped and prob added artwork to using Musicmatch Jukebox (a couple of yrs ago thats all I would use). :mad:
