Hello there,

I've got a problem according the DVD navigation in GBPVR#09413. After starting a DVD I can't use the remote control anymore. Trying to navigate through any DVD menu (as well as skipping scenes etc) using the remote control has no effect. I have to do this by mouse.
In one situation when I tried out all button an the remote control something interesting happened: The computer went to hibernation. My explanation is, that GBPVR was still active in the background listening to the remote control when accidently hit the "shutdown" button.

I'm using a Hauppage PVR USB2. And yes, I have enabled the "Hauppage Remote Control Fix".

Is there anybody who can help me? Thanks in advance

Peter

Are you using the default 'DVD navigator'? You should be.

Also if you using the Cyberlink decoders, you may need to switch to overlay instead of VMR.

hmm... i a similar problem with the default dvd navigator. after two(!) commands, gbpvr stopped responing ir commands _AND_ ignored keyboard keys...
i then installed intervideo windvd (i had version six laying arround) and switched the navigator and codecs... and everythign worked (don't relaly know what the problem was... navigator or codecs or...?)
AMD 1600mHz, 512 M RAM, 20+160 GB drive, Hauppauge PVR-350 + PVR-150 + PVR-150MCE, Win XP Pro SP3, using software decoding.

There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

changing the DVD Navigation didn't solve the problem but using "overlay" did!

Thanks a lot, sub.

Alternatively, you could google for how to enable the Cyberlink decoders to work with VMR (search for "EnableVMR9")

This is how to enable VMR9

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CyberLink\Common\CLVSD]
"EnableVMR"=dword:00000001
"EnableVMR9"=dword:00000001

you can also enable hardware acceleration by adding
"UIUseHVA"=dword:00000001

Thanks guys,

I'll try this out. Anyway: "overlay" is okay to me.
