Hi, followed the links in the wiki and a few other threads but I dont get any download just seems to loop back. Can anyone provide a location for the ZIP file I want to try to install on Fedora.
Thanks.
So far i've been using nextpvr to record without transcoding.
Just for giggles (i am filling up the second 8tb drive nicely...) i set the pvr to transcoding.
So the next time a recording finished, it would start transcoding, but also since i'm back-to-back recording, it would record the next program right after the first one stopped.
I looked at the cpu usage (btop, mainly) and saw that cpu was pegged to 100%, because, well, the transcoding mainly, but also the recording.
The next recording and going forward, i set the transcoding back to 'leave recordings in original format'.
Not that i need to transcode, but i'd like to know: what happens when there's a recording happening and the transcoding at the same place - will the recording get 'glitchy', and/or will the transcoding get glitchy because of the pi4 8gb doing too much at the same time?
For years I've happily run NextPVR/Docker on an RPi 4, and just having received a new RPi 5, I've tried to port over my working configuration. I think I've copied and configured all the pieces, but the container exits almost immediately after it starts. If I allow it to auto-restart, it will repeat the start/exit activity forever. There are a LOT of differences between the new RPi 5 runtime environment and the old one - machine architecture, OS version, package versions. Two questions - (1) have folks gotten the current nextpvr/nextpvr_arm32v7:latest container to work on an RPi 5 with the latest version of Raspberry Pi OS (64)? And (2) is there a logfile that I can view inside the container (or map to a directory on the host) that I can maybe see what's causing the exit and debug it further?
One additional clue is that docker-proxy is not starting up, but that might be because the container exits so quickly. I do see the Docker bridge network in the routing table.
On a system that was working, I'm now seeing lots of errors of the form "Recording service not running at recording time". PC isn't waking up.
The usual stuff, sleep settings are: sleep after 15, unattended timeout 2, allow waketimers are enabled. Hmmm, I'm sure I had unattended set to 10 previously (now updated to 10).
I've tried toggling the nextpvr service between automatic and automatic delayed. I've toggled the "keep tuners primed" back and forth. No difference.
I've not changed any BIOS settings, because no settings have been fiddled with recently. I've re-installed NextPVR (though not yet with an uninstall beforehand).
Interestingly powercfg /waketimers (yes, runas admin) returns the following error: "Unable to perform operation. An unexpected error (0x65b) has occurred: Function failed during execution". No other powercfg commands reurn an error. A thorough google search suggests that no one has an effective fix for this (the usual sfc/dism/troubleshooter options list no errors, and have no effect). So, I restored my system from a backup taken a few days ago, and the error was gone.
And it's back... after adding scheduled recordings to NextPVR. It looks as though adding scheduled recordings to NextPVR is causing (or triggering) the 0x65b error. With no recordings scheduled I see the scheduled wake for EPG update, no problem.

Any thoughts, amyone? When I first set up NextPVR I spent a lot of time sorting out wake/sleep issues, then more time was wasted with crappy Hauppauge drivers, and eventually I got a stable system. And now it's giving me grief again. Alternatively can anyone recommend a TV with multiple tuners that can record to a USB device without encryption, available in the UK?
I have been using UIDroid with my NPVR server and love it. Now I'm wondering if I can make my server headless and access it with the Firestick browser to make changes to server settings. I tried putting the IP address from the Linux installation instructions into the silk browser but it just does a online search. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a better browser available?
I ran apt upgrade and now NPVR is totally trashed. Trying to play a recording gives "failed to start requested stream" Live TV gives "Streaming Failed" and the EPG was deleted. Had to do an update. NPVR gave a blank stream, I suspected I might have failed to installed codacs when I reinstalled Mint. So I ran uptate and upgrade, then installed codacs. rebooted. At first the server would not open. I rebooted again and it lodaed, but the EPG was empty. I updated and inserted huge number of listings but now nothing works.
Hello,
Is there a way to remove the unused IP addresses that show up when you open the app asking to connect to a server? It seems that when I open the app I get a list of all addresses that I have used to connect to a server that are not in use anymore.
Thank you,
Bruce
My NextPVR works fine on my hosting workstation. Windows 10.
I can use the http://localhost:8866/index.html to connect to it.
What I would like to do is connect to it from my tablet, which also runs windows 10 and is on my LAN.
I've tried the ethernet IPV4 Address for the HTPC then the port number.
Hi
I have a Hauppauge wintv dual tuner DVB-C and T2. In Wintv, i have found the free channels that i have been looking for. But when tuning with nextpvr 5.2.5 the free channels are not found. Only 7 other encrypted channels are found.
I think there could be missing a frequency. I added a frequency to wintv's terrestrial.xml in public folder and wintv which did the difference.
What is the path for the frequencies for nextpvr on windows and Raspberry pi?
