Hi,
When recording programs back to back on channels they are switching tuners,
For Example
when recording a program on 1 Channel on Tuner A and recording the program proceeding it will swap to Tuner B causing the recording on Tuner B to stop which also has another show set to record on the same Mux.
Is it possible to have no guide and still setup a recording?
Is it possible to only refresh a single channel using .xml file? I have to run "Update EPG" which takes a long time to complete and I am only trying to fix 1 channel...
This shows up for 3 recordings in newa, all on July 25, screen capture in attachment along with nrecord.log, which doesn't seem to show anything to me. It should have stopped around 8PM or so, however, you will see in the log that future records started, which is very strange. Not a single recording was recorded on the following night. So, would presume something did happen to the recording service.
There is no crash dump log in the c:\temp directory
This is a hdhomerun tuner recording 6 shows at the same time. Works most nights, every few weeks or so, I find the recording service not running.
Is there anything I can do to try and help find out what is going wrong?
Hopefully someone can help with this issue which has unfortunately prevented me from using NPVR in Kodi.
Whilst in Kodi and watching LiveTV, I hit the power button and it puts the PC to sleep.
When the PC wakes up from a sleep state, Kodi is frozen and eventually I have to quit Kodi via task manager or Alt+F4. At times, a message has come up stating no tuner is available.
Alternatively, If I stop the live tv steam in Kodi, put the PC to sleep and then wake it up, Kodi automatically start the TV stream again (I've set TV to start automatically in Kodi settings) and it continues to work fine.
I don't have this issue when running Kodi with serverwmc backend, so I can only surmise its a compatibility issue between Kodi and nextpvr. Not sure if this is a Kodi or npvr issue though.
I'm running the latest version on npvr and Kodi 15.0. The problem also existed in Kodi 14. Running PC with OS Win7 64bit. Npvr logs and xbmc log attached. (hopefully ive done these correctly)
I'd prefer to use npvr so hopefully someone can see where the problem is. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi All,
I recently updated to Win8.1. mostly things are working ok. However, I had a bunch of very old recordings (kids stuff mostly) that was in the old DVR-MS format from way back. These no longer play in nPVR. it just instantly cancels out when trying to play the file.
Is there a fundamental change in Windows 8.1? I can play the files in media player classic. They also play in VLC but with poor decoding results.
My feeling is that this is probably some sort of codec issue?
Just tried to upgrade to NPVR, I have been using PVRX2 with MVP for a long time and have been very happy with it (I've resisted making any changes to the DVR set-up for as long as I can). I found out the Raspberry Pi can connect to NPVR though so thought it would be a great time to upgrade.
I have XP SP3 with Hauppaugge 2250 dual tuner and two PVR150 cards. Trying to scan the for the ATSC channels on the 2250 in North America and I get the same channel and sub channels repeated (I believe this is the channel broadcasting at the lowest frequency) and none of the other channels are found. Also, it does the channel scan very quickly (about 1/2 second per frequency, which is must faster than I've seen any other app do). The Hauppauge WinTV app is able to tune to all the channels ok.
I still have PVRX2 running and scheduling recordings, I didn't think there should be any compatibility issues between the two (nothing is recording when I try to do the channel scans).
I cleaned out the log directory, opened NPVR, and tried one ATSC channel scan on the 2250. Logs of this attached.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, can't wait to get the "new" program working (I guess I've been a bit behind).
Thanks for the awesome DVR software!
