I had a Silicondust HDHomeRun HDHR4-2US on Windows 7 Pro x64 which is working fine with HDHomeRun VIEW and Windows Media Center. I re-ran the HRHomeRun setup to set it to NextPVR mode and tried to set up NextPVR, but when I choose the -0 tuner, set it to "USA ATSC CH.7-51" and hit scan, it just stays on "Scanning physical channel 7" forever.
I setup firewall exceptions for NextPVR.exe, NRecord.exe and NDigitalHost.exe. I tried following the instructions at http://my.hdhomerun.com/instructions/sof...extpvr.php after installing the newest SiliconDust drivers, but I don't have a "Location" tab (there is a country drop down and I selected "United States", but it never asks for my ZIP code) or an "Applications" tab (there is a "BDA Compatibility Mode" drop down, but the only options are "Default", "Easy HDTV DVR", "For The Record", "J River Media Center", "MediaPortal", "NextPVR", and "Windows Media Center", and there is no "Other:ATSC/QAM" option).
My log is below:

My post is too long, continuing log in a second post...
I have recently installed NextPVR and when I click on Live TV I get a quick blink "Please wait..." and nothing else...
I have:
- Installed NextPVR
- Selected my TV Tuner/PVR
- Scanned my channels (found about 35)
- Selected my decoders for video and audio
- Tried different decoders as well
- Updated my channels to remove the .1, .2 and etc...
- Rebooted
Out of the blue a few days ago all of my NMT's started getting black screen after loading NPVR. After several seconds they attempt to reload and this continues to cycle.
At the same time, the native N-PVR on my Windows 7 Home Premium box stopped playing videos. It still starts and shows the menu but when I try to play a recording or watch live TV the screen is black. When I press ESC it goes back to the menu.
The recording service is still working and recording shows. Also, when I attempt to watch live TV on the native N-PVR I can see the video file in the live TV directory and play it OK with VLC.
I have checked my shares and they look OK. Does anyone have any ideas?

Windows 7 with RealTek and Colossus and HDMI output
I am getting the impression these guys are not friends. If I exit NextPVR, to watch streaming Internet or old wtv programs in my WMC, and return to live TV (whether NextPVR or WinTV) the audio drops and video is unwatchable choppy. I have "fixed" it twice ... not sure how. I just uninstalled all drivers basically. Not a good long term solution at all.
There must be a big conflict with audio. I have been seriously struggling to get 5.1 Surround output to my receiver for the past four months. I have tried everything but gave up after I installed a Xonar DGX sound card (trying Optical instead of HDMI) and I totally crashed my system. I just listened to stereo on my two front speakers, which remains a total sound experience bummer.
I know I have left out a lot of technical information, but I don't know where this conflict lies and what exactly I need to provide. I have read a ton of blogs, posts, and articles - but nothing works for me. I cannot even open a RealTek audio manager to modify the speakers as the program does not seem to exist. I am incredibly scared to open any other programs because of this issue.
Just upgraded to Windows 10 and report 0 problems. NextPVR is running as good as ever, recordings seem fine and the Kodi interface is working for me....
The only issue I've tripped over so for is how my Cygwin installation pops up 3 windows when I start it, however, it's a pretty old install, so I may just need to update it.
I am completely lost with the TV Guide. I live in the US and used to using Media Center, however with Window 10 is not going to have Media Center. So I am looking for a program to use. I was directed to NextPVR. I have seen Guide Plus, XMLTV, mc2xml and Zap2to it. What do I need to use, most of the text I have seen were 2013 or older, so what do I need. I also say something about making a batch file for Zap2it, what text is need, where is that file supposed to be. I have not written a batch file in more than 10 years not sure I even remember how. Is there any easy way to make the TV Guide work close to how Media Center did. I have been able to use Titan TV Guide with Hauppauge WinTV and Media Center, however it will not work with NextPVR. Is there any easy way to use the TV Guide. The guide that comes with the program will not work the way I want. I will look at the guide in the morning to record programs that night since I will not be home. Any suggestions?
Microsoft forced me to move off of Windows Media Center a few weeks ago when they changed their EPG provider (my zip code still has not been updated). It is a good move - NextPVR is great! Problem is that I cannot get my HD working. I am sure it is something simple, but I cannot figure it out.
I followed, what I believe, are all the set-up steps. Troubleshooting I have discovered that the WinTV and Hauppauge Capture program both get HD. I am stumped and frustrated. Attached are my logs.
Its been forever since I checked in. Moved over to W7 MC after getting my cablecard. Not a bad experience over there, but I miss the fun times I had here. I am glad all of you are still working at it. Congrats and keep it up! Who knows, someday I may be back.
