I have nextPVR set up (3.4.8 June 6 download) with a Silicondust dual HD tuner. I was able to get everything working (epg, decoders, etc.) but I have occasional stuttering during live TV. I thought I'd try the 5GHz channel on my router (which works just fine) but when I switched to that, next PVR will not play any love TV. If I switch to the 2.4 GHz channel, all is OK. What's up with that? I do the device setup, all is good - both tuners show up. epg is good, same decoders. Just no 5GHz wifi playback.
is there a way to get NextPVR 3.4.8 to send Genre Strings to the KODI next.pvr plugin (Kodi 14.2), instead of Genre Type and Genre Subtype?
I know there was a patch for that for the previous version, that worked well for me.
What I am seeing right now is that the Kodi PVR plugin gets genre_type and genre_subtype back, while the same call using a browser returns genre.
I am suspecting that that's because of the different User Agent string.
If this is a configuration issue somewhere then I would greatly appreciate any hints - I have not been able to figure this out yet ;-)
Out of a total of 159 channels broadcast by the local Granada Winter Hill transmitter, NextVPR only finds 57 of them, whereas WMC finds all of them (using same TV Tuner).
The Settings were:
Device Identification box: AverMedia 7231 DVBT Tuner PCI Card.
None is set up in the Common Interface CI/CAM box.
In the Type Specific Settings:-
Country: United Kingdom
Region: Granada â Winter Hill
The Scan Offsets box was NOT ticked.
I was hoping to spend some time trying to find a working version of FFMPEG and the appropriate ARGS so that LiveTV streaming will work from the HDHomerun.
I see the transcode starting (or trying to) but obviously FFMPEG is failing. I was hoping to find out the exact command that NextPVR is using (with the args populated) so I can play around with it manually. The log doesn't show this (but I think it used to?)
I just noticed that the nightly ImageGrabLite run after the EPG update is failing. It looks like the problem is that it is getting confused by the show called The First 48: Killer Confessions. Notice the line:
Code:
Changing The First 48: Killer Confessions to The First 48
in the attached log file.
I've also deleted the SearchLite/Series and the Media/Shows .xml files for both The First 48: Killer Confessions and The First 48: Deadly Sexual Encounters. The files included in the attached .zip file are the ones that just got downloaded.
Ever since the firmware upgrade of my HDHomeruns and NEXPVR I have been getting a few recordings that Neither NEXTPVR or Kodi will play. Remuxing these recordings helps. Tried Windows Mediaplayer and that will not play it either.
Hi. I am trying NextPVR as a possible replacement for WMC after Windows 10. So far so good. I have a problem with the Search facility which shows no entries at all. The EPG is fully populated and looks fine. Any help appreciated.
Looks like it might be to do with not having skin elements installed - see attached log file.
From a client PC (either W7 or 8.1), I can watch or record a channel, but as soon as I try to change the channel (channel up/down or numeric entry) either from KB or remote, the screen freezes up and channel does not change. Checking task manager, i find that the CPU is pegged at 100% - this with Intel icore5-4690K quad core CPU running at 3.9 ghz.
