Is there a commandline to archive recordings. .... I would like to setup a batch job to archive recordings of a certain age... If there is such a command to Archive what is the syntax?
Many newer motherboards with Intel chipsets now feature an HTPC header which, among other things, offers a connector for an LED that lights up when recording. Using Intel's drivers, Windows Media Center uses this. Can NextPVR include support for this too, please?
I am running Kodi 14.2 with nextpvr 3.4.8 as my backend and am running IR Server Suite 1.5.0-62 with a USB-UIRT. My problem is that when in live tv I can change channels w/o a problem, but when I schedule a timer it will not blast. If I quick record during a show it will change the channel fine and record (only on timer recordings in the future it fails to blast?.).
Note: I started with Gbpvr 5-6 years ago and loved it, but when the redesign started I left to MediaPortal and just decided to give NPVR another try and the recordings are every bit as impressive as I remember (The best analog PVR software around). My recording are dare I say are as almost good as the org broadcast. I just need to figure this blasting problem out and I will be in heaven (almost).
I'm at witt's end here so hopefully someone can help. I have this peace of code in PostProcessing.bat:
Code:
set iFN="\\Sirius\sirius$H%~pnx1"
set oFN="\\Sirius\sirius$H%~pn1.avi"
set SRT="\\Sirius\sirius$H%~pn1.default.srt"
echo C:\ffmpeg\bin\ffmpeg.exe -analyzeduration 2147483647 -probesize 2147483647 -y -i %iFN% -vcodec libx264 -preset fast -acodec copy %oFN%>c:\Users\Public\npvr\scripts\Convert.bat
copy c:\Users\Public\NPVR\Scripts\Convert.bat \\Taurus\Users\Public\NPVR\Scripts\
C:\windows\system32\psexec \\Taurus -d -c -e -h -f -u xxxxxx -p xxxxxx -w C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Scripts C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Scripts\Convert.bat
In short, the code produces a batch file, Convert.bat, which is copied to a remote computer (Taurus), the purpose of this bat is to convert an mpeg2 recording to h.264. The conversion batch is written and works beautifully, the file is copied to the remote computer with no problems. BUT, the PsExec call does nothing when called from PostProcessing when Nrecord starts it.
I can execute PsExec with all the parameters manually in a command prompt and it works great. So I thought, wait a minute, Nrecord is a service, maybe it is not allowed to run PsExec (I should add that Nrecord runs as my user and not the local system account). So I tried to run Nrecord in a command prompt with "Nrecord RUN". No dice, the PostProcessing runs but not PsExec. I tried both with "Run as Administrator" and without.
So, I try to run PostProcessing with all its parameters from a command prompt, and VIOLA, PsExec works.
Sub, does Nrecord run PostProcessing with any limitations with regard to privileges or something like that?? Anyone else have a clue?
I recently revamped my entire hardware platform (see the sig) but am frustrated still by the sheer paucity of information about Intel's HTPC header with its recording LED. I've tried LEDSdriver but it doesn't seem to work - has anyone seen or found any other way to get this feature on my shiny new motherboard to light up an LED when recording?
trying to skip while watching my hdpvr...nothing happens, the timeline looks as if it has skipped, but show only pauses and unpauses at same point, not further ahead or back...
logs included...
major problem, as i might have to get U-verse so will need this to work reliably....
skips no problem on server gui...
also tried in RPI2 kodi client, same, no skips.....timeline thinks it skipped tho..
I have NPVR loaded on my PC (Win7). I can turn on LiveTV and that works but only the main input channel, channel 3.
I am using Comcast cable services with a DTA converter (set to channel 3), Hauppauge HVR-2250 tuner card, and the supplied Hauppauge IR Blaster.
When I activate NPVR LiveTV, the cable signal passes through fine, and I can see whatever is on channel 3. In my local area channel 3 is national ABC broadcasting. I have several issues:
- I cannot get any channels to work. I program them in the Device settings, but when I request "fixed channel to be "3", it changes to whatever the assigned channel number is. I have 3 testing channels created before I do all 150 channels. see attached.
- I cannot figure out how to import the channels to avoid manually entering all 150 channels (once I get the 3 testing channels working).
- The IR Blaster is sending a signal to the Comcast cable box. I see the IR pulses. I cannot confirm if it is sending the correct channel changing data.
- When I go into the channel lineup, I cannot get any EPG data to be retained. It constantly shows up as "None" for the Source.
I plan to use KODI as the main media center tool. I have been told that I can avoid a lot of my problem by loading IPTV and watching live TV via the IPTV listings. When I tried that method, I could not get that to work unless I wanted high maintenance of monitoring worldwide channel broadcasts and editing my channel lineup. I do not care about stuff in Australia.
I just want a simple, easy to use media center to replace Windows Media Center for LiveTV and a PVR for show recording via a built-in TV Guide. Windows Media Center did a good job handling this. However when Windows 10 is released, I am going to lose this functionality. I am looking for a replacement before that happens.
Maybe you can confirm one other thing... Windows Media Center is available as a separate add-on/purchase. Will it work with Win10? However, I think I read that Microsoft will no longer support it on ANY OS platform. So eventually Windows Media Center and its TV Guide Scheduling functionality will be shut down.
Hi all, I've searched already through the forums but can't find any answer.
I have NextPVR setup on a Win7 machine. Kodi 14.2 (helix) running on the FTV, with the NextPVR addon. All is fine, I can watch live tv, switch channels, see EPG, program recordings, however yesterday I wanted to watch a few of the women's soccer games I recorded and nothing would play.
One of the recordings was playing like a music file (i.e. visualization on Kodi kicked in). But no sound.
When I go on the Win7 machine, looks like it's playing the soccer game just fine.
Is there some known issue? I have found this before, on other shows I recorded, even though it was in the recorded show list, when I would try and play it, it just wouldn't play...
The Xcard has a very good RGB output and I use it on a scart TV. I currently use XBMC with a XBox 1, but this one starts to have insufficient power to read x264 encoding. I would replace my old XBox 1 by a HTPC with XCard as video output to keep RGB quality on my CRT TV. Sometime I can switch to HDMI out to use this HTPC on a video projector.
I've been using NPVR for years with my WinTV-HVR-950Q, which didn't come with remote. I just bought a new WinTV-HVR-955Q, which came with the new credit card remote (PT# R-005).
I have both WinTV 7 and NVPR 3.4.8 installed and I have been trying to configure the irremote.ini file. I have some funtions working, such as directional arrows and the OK and the Back button. What I would really like to get working is the TV button to start NPVR, the red Power button to exit NPVR and the VOLUP and VOLDOWN buttons.
I have created the title [NPVR] and copied the section from title [WINTV7], then modified the TV=, GO=, VOLUP= and VOLDOWN= to what I thought would work. What am I doing wrong?
