I have nextpvr set up on XP with a PVR-500 dual analog tuner card.
when in full screen mode the video will freeze or pause while the OSD information banner is up on the screen, during this time the sound is still playing normal & when the OSD info banner drops down video then resumes, I also noticed if I right click on the mouse while the OSD info banner & paused video are on the screen it will open a menu box & as soon as that happens video resumes as normal while the menu box is open & the OSD being displayed, if I close the menu box before the OSD info banner drops then video will freeze again till the info banner drops.
Is this a bug or is there something I don't have set up properly ?
currently it has the option to start up with the green button, it would be nice to see the secondary command to jump to the main menu as well when ever the green button is pushed.
also most full size windows mce remotes have one "live TV" button & one "TV" button
the way it is now both do the same thing, I don't know if it can be done but it would be nice if you could have the "TV" or some other button toggle the aspect ratio change.
I have written a REXX Script to grab the Season and or Episode details from EPG_EVENT.description and update EPG_EVENT.season and EPG_EVENT.episode.
The setting "Use S01E01 file naming format if possible" has been enabled via the GUI.
I have noticed that scheduled recordings with the season set to 0 and episode > 0 do not get ".S00E0x" appended to the program name.
where as season set to 1 and episode > 0 are appended. (see below for a couple of "UPDATED" entries from EPG_EVENT.
It appears that to get the episode number I will have to fudge the Season number ie set it to "99" (no show runs for 99 seasons )
Suggestion .... With the above switch set to on and season set to 0 but episode > 0 that " E0X" be appended to the program name.
With the above switch set to on and season set to > 0 and episode set to > 0 that " S0XE0X" be appended to the program name.
ignore seasons without an episode. A note to SUB .. note "NO DOTS", I know you like DOTS

Hello everyone. I am now using nextpvr to replace wmc. I needed to find a replacement, since I upgraded to Win10. Everything is working fine. All I plan to use this for is recording Packers football. The tv guide that came with nextpvr only seems to show me 2 1/2 hours of upcoming shows. Is there a way to see tv guide data a couple days out?

Hi,
I have a USB ATSC tuner stick that is connected to an antenna at home.
I am on vacation and wish to use it to tune clearQAM but not matter what I try it finds no channels.
I tried using the usb tuner app (ARCsoft total media) and it works there, finding a boat load of channels but NPVR finds 0 channels after the scan.
I un-checked the enabled box for the ATSC tuner under devices and checked the enabled for QAM.
Do I need to totally delete the ATSC channel mappings in order to use it for QAM?
I also have 2 other tuners which are still back at home if that makes any difference (HD Homerun and Hauppauge cable card tuner).
I just discovered some recordings on my hard drive which do not show up in my list of recordings in NextPVR. I am not sure if they are shows that never were watched or shows that for some reason did not get deleted. I also am not sure how many more of these shows there are which do not show up. There is a utility that allows you to manually add a show to the database, but since I probably have a couple hundred shows, I was wondering if there is a utility that would search the recording folder and add them to the database if they are not there. With enough time I could problem come of with a bat file to do this but was hoping somebody had already done this.
The other question is, has anybody had the problem of not having shows in the database.
I've been having an issue with recordings randomly failing on my HDHomeRun Prime.
About 50 to 60% of the time, recordings on cablecard channels record with 0 byte files. If I check the HDHomerun log, it doesn't show any attempts to record channels during those times.
The nrecord.log file on my DVR hasn't updated in about a day, so I can't check that log, but during that time plenty of clearQAM recordings have worked, as well as several cablecard ones.
This has persisted over two different cable cards from two different cable card companies.
I can record TV and it plays back beautifully. However, if I try to use Live TV, it freezes immediately (within a second). I can stop Live TV and watch the buffered file by browsing through the Temp directory, and again, it plays back just fine.
Has anyone dealt with this situation in the past? is there something I may have setup wrong?
