For those of you that are little to fast in deleting your recordings.
I was deleting a bunch of recordings via the NextPVR Recording sub menus. One of the recordings was one of those 2 hour recording that contain 2 episodes. Well I had watched the 1st hour but forget that I had not watched the 2nd hour. Click on Delete and by by 2 hour recording. Tried the usual file recovery methods and nothing:mad:. I then remembered that I had created a Windows System Image the week before and wondered is there was any way I could restore a individual file form that system image:confused:. After a Google search I found this http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/windows...windows-8/. I followed the instructions and I was able to recover the recording off of my System Image.
Note: this only works if your are on Windows 8.0 or 8.1 and you use the built in Create System Image feature located at the bottom of the File History window. File History is located in the Control Panel.
All NextPVR users LOVE them some tasty patches, but here we are 40 days after release and you still see no patch list. What gives?
This time around sub is refreshing the NextPVR 3.4.8 installer whenever he changes something he considers critical. This makes my traditional patch list redundant and possibly damaging since patches I list would be older than those provided by the installer.
As of this writing, the NextPVR 3.4.8 installer includes all updates through June 6th, 2015 including an update to the installer which corrects a database upgrade issue.
I'm putting graphic logos on the OSD and have gotten a start on that. They didn't look very good on the basic skin so I went to NextBlue and they look fine. But, my Movies plugin no longer works with that skin. Any ideas on what I can do?
I am setting my NPVR up and it seems that I am not able to scan a particular channel, say 35. I can see and watch this channel in both Windows Media Center and Hauppauge WinTV7. I have tried to rescan several times to no avail. I have tried to add the channel manually. It shows added but the tuners don't see it either in a scan or manually. I have a Hauppauge WinTV HVR 2250 installed in a Windows 8.1 enviornment. Any Suggestions?
