Hi,
I am using a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1265 tuner card, the new version of the HVR-1250. It doesn't seem to work with NextPVR, and I've seen complaints about such issues in the reviews of the product. Are there plans to make NextPVR work with this card? Is there anything I could do (as a software developer but with little experience in this kind of application) to help?
Thanks,
John
I am in so much trouble. I got to one of those places where I thought it was time for a rescan of channels. Unfortunately I did not know that bulk map is completely broken on the latest version of NextPVR! Initially I thought I could just use the freesat and DVBT options but ended up with big holes in my EPG after one day (No show details) so under spouse pressure used bulk map to go back to XMLTV. Sadly this changed all the channels to XMLTV but the source file and channel did not get saved and now I am having to go one by one through every channel (nearly 300 of them) setting the file and channel manually :-(
Does anyone have any way i can work around this? At this point even some form of file hacking would be acceptable as editing each channel one by one is unbelievably slow...
I made two changes to my setup. 1) different IP address and 2) a UNC path to a network share for recordings as opposed to a local drive. Since then X-NEWA tells me that it is "Unable to load X-NEWA Data."
I'm able to connect to the new IP with the NPVR web interface and the NPVR Kodi plugin works fine.
Thanks for any hints. If it does support UNC, I'll grab some logs.
It appears this does not work in Safari, or, Firefox on Mac OSX? Clicking on View Live in the guide opens a new browser window, but, it's basically blank and never shows up. No controls even. Have VLC. LAN, not remote.
I can open it on the newa machine itself via localhost link and it does play.
Is there a trick to getting it to work non windows, or, is that simply not supported?
Hi, Just starting to use my NPVR setup and I might ask a dumb question (or two lol). But I notice that Live TV is splitting recordings into multiple files. Also, I expected it to continue recording the next show, but it did not seem to work. I have it set to track by EPG information.
From reading the doc, I believe the answer is yes.
1. Simulate functionality of Dish Hopper Primetime Live. The dish device basically records all network channel shows (4 of them) from 7PM to midnight. I have a dual HDHomerun tuner. However, I have 5 networks on two different hd channels, so, total 5 subchannels, two main channels. So, multi record should allow me to access all 5 at the same time. It appears I could do a manual record advanced rule to simply specific all shows on each of those channels between some time range and that would work. So, each show would end up as it's own recorded file with appropriate name from the guide? This would be awesome!
2. I also may hook up a STB. So, can NextPVR handle two devices, one a tuner with a guide from Schedules Direct, and, another with a STB which has lots of channels but with a channel changer of some sort? Can schedules direct supply to NextPVR all of the channels I need for the STB?
This would allow me to record all the network shows (I can pick and choose which I want, avoids having to specify each and every show and sometimes, you find new show you might like but never had a timer for) every night, and, record one other show from the STB at a time.
Hi, ndroid has started working again after a prolonged period of downtime (NFI what was going on, probably my custom ROM, or maybe a recent update by yourself,so don't worry about that aspect...) However an even older problem is occurring in that I'm getting incomplete guide data. Only some channels and only / often a block of hours in the middle of the day missing.
All the data is present in NPVR but re-downloading the EPG to the phone doesn't fix the issue.
What logs do you need next time I catch it, and where does the local DB live on the phone so I can post a copy if required?
This is original ndroid btw, not TE.
I've recently upgraded my OpenELEC Pi to Kodi Helix (OpenELEC 5.0) and I'm receiving an issue watching TV through the NextPVR addon.
When selecting a channel I get the "NextPVR Client tuner not available" message pops up several times (about 3) before a 0% buffering box pops up in the top right had corner (I'm using Confluence. All worked fine previously on XBMC Gotham.
The Channels and EPG populates fine while recordings update and play without issue. I have a XBMCBuntu and Windows 7 install of Helix and NextPVR, with the exact same settings, is working without issues
I've been using the NextPVR plugin on XBMC for a while and have been happily clicking on the "Recordings" option to refresh my list of TV shows after recording completion. However, after upgrading to the latest version of Kodi (14.0), that no longer works. Nothing happens when you click on the "Recordings" option. The only way to refresh the recordings list is to restart Kodi. I tried sub's patch from http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...plus-patch but it made no difference. Is anyone else seeing this issue and found a way to fix it?
I'm running Kodi on a Win7 box and using the NextPVR 3.3.8 and the plugin v1.9.17 (tried with and without sub's above mentioned patch).
