I recently started encountering this weird problem where I go through the web interface and try to play a recording but nothing happens. It happens to some recordings but not others. I have been spending the last couple of days trying to get this all set up and while I have made progress, I'm stuck right now.
I have an HDHomeRun with an OTA antenna attached that is plugged into my router and a desktop PC that is also plugged into the router. I have the NextPVR add-on working very well in XBMC on my desktop.
I also have an android box running XBMC for my second TV, but I have been unable to get the NextPVR add-on to work. It is connected through wifi to my router. I used my desktop to do a google search for "what is my IP" and find out what my IP address is and then used that in the configuration of the NextPVR add-on on my android box, but I keep getting messages that say "connection lost" and "no PVR clients started".
I have disabled the firewall on both my desktop PC and my router.
I've also tried going to http://localhost:8866 on my desktop and it brings me to a NextPVR page, but when I try going to http://myipaddress:8866, the page is not found so I think NextPVR is having some kind of problem hosting the server side of it.
In the 'Clients' settings, I have the boxes checked to enable web server and allow remote access and I have left the port at 8866 and haven't touched the pin/username/password.
Does anyone have any ideas of things that I could try in order to get this to work? Thanks!
From everything I could gather, if I create a manual recording and then add the below SQL statement to the advanced rules, the below statement should allow me to record all first run episodes that are a series premier. Is that correct? I can only hope it's that simple!

I am looking at the Blackmagic Decklink cards. Since some of their cards around $500 supports multi-channel audio and 1080p60. Will NextPVR see those cards as valid capture devices?
Any recommendation for a 1080P60 tv tuner? I have a epiphany dvi2pcie capture card, but Next PVR does not appear to recognize it. I am capturing off a cable tv box, so channel changing is being done via IR. I was looking at the Hauppauge Colossus (only supports 1080i) or the Hauppauge HD PVR 2. With the HD PVR2, does anyone know if that is supported with Next PVR?
I will be controlling a cable set top box with IR. What is the best IR emitter to use? The rest of my home theatre uses GlobalCache IP2IR units and HomeSeer 3. With NextPVR support those?
I've replaced my old PCH A-100 with a Raspberry Pi + XBMC + X-NEWA. I've never been able to get "time shifting" (ie catching up to live TV) a recording to work correctly. For instance, if a show starts at 8:00 and I start watching at 8:15, the file doesn't continue to add time to the recording after I've started watching.
Is time shifting possible similar to the old PCH where I could "catch up to live TV"? Thanks.
About 5 days ago my box started crashing when the EPG is updated. I noticed it in the morning as a disconnection between NPVR and the recording service. Tonight I manually ran the update process and witnessed the crash and it happens every time. I've rem'd out all the lines in the update/and post update batches but it still crashes.
I use this with great performance in a mountainous area with low power translators. Works great. Mine is intalled behind a chest against an outside wall facing in approximately the correct direction.
