Setup:
HDHomerun plus (hdtc-2us)
Windows 7 64
NPVR 3.3.8
NextPVR works and records. EPG was fully populated for a whole day when initially setup. Using OTA EPG.
But now EPG only shows about 1 hour channel data. The rest appears "no show details". I can manually update EPG hourly, but that only gets the next hour of data.
Am I doing something wrong?
Update:
In HDHomeRun Setup if I change Main application to "NextPVR" I only get about 1 hour of EPG data & video is saved in H.264 format. However, if i use "Other: ATSC/QAM" I get about much more. About 12-24hrs worth, but video is saved as mpeg2.
So how can I configure it to save video as H.264, but still get a full day of epg data?
So with subs help I got my WinTV prv 150 card working (I think) on my npvr.
But now with I start LiveTV all I get is a black screen. My connection is to a Comcast HD STB via the Video and right / left audio out the back.
So I decided to download EPG follow the procedure npr documentation thinking that was the next step to get a picture but after loading the channel list I still get a black screen when I select LiveTV.
Can't do anything on npvr anymore... stopped working.. uninstalled, reinstalled.
Now when I look in the logs it says this when going into the devices tab to rescan... is there a way to unlock said database?!?!?!!?
Thanks,
John

Hi,
I've had a strange problem with my sat tuner stick.... it won't play anything.
I deleted all the channels and rescanned.... picked them all up quickly.
It just won't play!!!! in NPVR I get the message saying unable to find available caputure device. It's there and working, as it scans for channels no problem...
I've attached logs in the hope that someone can see what the problem is!?!
last week, and again today, my wife notices her daily soap not recording. I notice then that all my "season passes" are not showing for a particular channel (CBS Affiliate from ATSC HDHR Dual). I added them back via the guide and they were fine for a week - than again today same thing. Will zip up the logs and add when I can stop the service. It does appear other channel recurring recordings are OK.
Hi, I hadn't re-tuned my system for ages, and was running 3.2.9. (For those in NZ, I still had C4 in my channel list, which shows how out of date it was!)
So I thought I'd remove all channels and retune. But NPVR didn't detect anything.
I noticed 3.3.8 had been released, so I updated, but same problem, does not detect anything.
The tuner was working fine up until the point I removed channels. My EPG-Collector is still working fine.
I have a Hauppage 2200 dual-tuner card and using DVB-T.
Transmitter: NZ-Wgtn-Mt Kaukau.
Just wanted to post a quick note in case anyone is having similar issues that I have been having with Plex. I had some headaches getting my Plex server to find new recordings made by NPVR. Reading through the forums I found tons of helpful advice from all of you so most of this can be found though search, but this is what worked for me:
1) disable metadata fetching in npvr's settings misc2 page
2) clear out anything that npvr has already downloaded into the \Media\Shows folder.
3) use ImageGrabLite with the -rename option
hope this helps someone else,
Thanks to all who ask and answer questions here!
Within nPVR 3.3.8, my channels are working fine. I have the add-on enabled in xbmc and when i enter 'Live TV', I see a list of all my channels. However, when I select any of the channels I get the message "Tuner Not Available". The nPVR service is running. I would really appreciate some help with this, thanks.
The Scaling over HDMI has been removed, so you no longer have to go in to CCC and move the slider to 100% for every resolution you use after a clean install.
After using it for about 45 mins this morning, with my HD7770 on a 50" plasma, I think the picture is crisper than its ever been - in addition text in Windows Programs is much more readable.
Its also about a month newer than the Omega 14.12 drivers released last week.
Just started using nDroid a few days ago.... had it all setup and running nicely, then the power went out last night, my NPVR PC rebooted and now it's not working again??
Have tried reinstalling both the app (on Galaxy S5) and the server side. Have also restarted the service - nothing seems to work. Anybody got any ideas?
Windows firewall is off on the server side and all I get is the spinning circle when I launch the app.
