Hello I have a avermedia h837 tv tuner with fm radio built in I got next pvr to see the over the air hd digital channels in the us but I can't get the radio part to work in the program can some one tell me how to get the radio feature of my card working in next pvr? am using the latest version on windows 8.1 thanks Hank
I'm recording the NFL games and I'm specifying a 60 min extent end time that work OK until NextPVR update de EPG and reset the original end time of the recording.
For example, today's game of New Orleans vs Dallas, I search in NEWA for the game and mark the Record Me check box and specify 50 on the "Extend End Time Minutes" field and click the Record Selected button, that work ok and if I go to Manage Recordings the begin and end time of the recording show the minutes I extended, but If I run an update of the EPG manually or when is updated automatically by NextPVR the end time of that recording resets to its original time.
With this issue I have to remember to update the recording the same day after the EPG update, if I forget to do this I almost always don't get to record the end of the games.
Anyone got this working? I haven't played with comskip since the MPEG2 DVB-S days.
Looking for creating comskip files to potentially reencode recording files (so they can be loaded in plex since that's a bit crap for skipping defined periods).
A little background here. Windows Server 2012, NextPVR 3.2.9, Hauppauge Win-TV 2250
I had this all working well and have made several recordings. I've been playing with different ways to try and get this available on my Amazon Fire TV. (no success without it being buggy). Anyway, the other day I installed MediaPortal to try. I prefer NextPVR and uninstalled MediaPortal. Now NextPVR will still scan and find all the channels and even the EPG, but when I try and watch TV I get "Unable to find available capture device". Again, I had this working earlier this week before trying MediaPortal. For what it's worth I can still watch TV through the Hauppauge WinTV app. But I don't think that is what is causing the issue as I've had that installed long before I ever had NextPVR working.
What am I missing?
When I click on "Live TV" here is what I get in the log file
I've got a new Win 8.1 box that I'm planning on migrating my install over to. I'm having trouble getting my HDHomeRun to scan for channels.
This is something I've done many times before on many different machines so I'm aware of the most common issue being the Windows Firewall - but with this disabled it still won't work.
I'm seeing this in the log

Anybody have any ideas what could be causing this?
this I can not say, whether NextPVR have implemented the CI function. On my test area are currently no NextPVR Installation. All Software Developers can get from us the the needed information and ressources to implement the CI Support in there Software. So best is you ask the NextPVR Team.
