I've just realised that Easter has passed us by - this is significant because it normally marks my annual donation to Sub for this wonderful software.
I'm posting just in case it reminds anyone else that Sub deserves a reward for the hard work he puts into this...and more importantly to keep him interested.
I may be imagining this but since 3.2.9 when I choose a recording from one of the recordings lists then hit escape because I want to carry on looking through the list it returns me to the top of the list rather than where I previously was.
I'm sure this is new behavior, I seem to remember one of my very first wish list items that Sub implemented when I joined GBPVR was for it to return to the previous position rather than the top of a list.
The channel list after scanning is incomplete. The channels missing is all from Astra 3B 23.5.
I tried other PVR software similar to NextPVR which comes with channel list pre-installed, including from Astra 3B and work fine.
I would appreciate if some would help with the following:
1# I have manage to export the channel list form the other PVR software but these are in *.ini or *.cvs format. Maybe I could tune into the missing channels if I would convert the ini or cvs file to xml so that NextPVR can import it.
2# Better Yet. If some could tell me why NextPVR will not scan anything from my 2nd LNB that is meant for Astra 3B 23.5
This my setup:
Receiver; 1x TBS6982 PCI-E DVB-S2 Dual Tuner TV card
Switch: 2x Spaun SAR 411
LNB: 3x ALPS twin LNB. 1st > Astra 1 19.2, 2nd > Astra 3B 23.5, 3rd > Astra 2 28.2
It could be that you would like to know some specific details. Please fell free and ask.
I recently acquired a movie in the img format and NPVR won't play it although VLC will. Am I doing something wrong or is this format not supported by NPVR abd SAF6? Is there a workaround way to play these files in NPVR?
Having just changed recordings drive by export, edit recordings backup file drive letter, move recordings, import recordings file I realise (just too late) that the coloured flags for users use get lost as they aren't in the backup file.
I realise what I have done is not an everyday job, but a backup should be a backup in theory. ??
edit: [arrgh, got it. too simple].
------
I am running 3.2.9 and just now had to switch to a set-top box for tuner, they moved from analog to digital in my area.
I have played with this for a while and I don't see any way yet to pull my channel lineup from schedules direct but inform NextPVR that I had a STB/ blaster, and that STB is sending on channel 3. I have the blaster exe configured on the device setup page, but do not see a place to set it to use fixed channel 3 like I do in WinTV.
What is the walkthru for this process? I had this working on GBPVR years ago, but haven't needed it for ages.
I have to confess, Live TV has never really worked properly for me. It always tunes to the channel, but after what appears to be a multiple of 7 minutes (7, 14, 21, etc, randomly) the image will freeze and I have to hit stop and start playback over again.
It seems now however (coincidentally since upgrading to 3.2.9, but I can't definitively say that is the cause) that Live TV does not work at all. If I attempt to hit either Live TV, or pick Watch from the TV Guide, the client will simple say "...Please wait..." and just sit there until I eventually have to kill the task.
This only happens with Live TV. If I chose to Record the show, I can go into the Recordings and watch the show from there.
I've been using an 8 Gb RAM disk as my Live TV buffer (permissions are set to grant Everyone Full Access), but decided to switch that to a temp folder on the hard disk (C:\Temp, also Everyone with Full Access) to see if that was the cause, but the issue is the same.
I don't really know how else to go about debugging it so I thought I would post here and see if anyone might have some insight into what the issue may be.
The capture device is a Hauppauge HD-PVR, and here are all of the log entries from NRecord on the server. I noticed a bunch of "File length is still zero." entries, so I suspect this is where the problem is.

If <AutoRemoveMissingRecordings> is true, when will the removal take place? I moving stuff around and exporting/editing/importing and the old entries are still in the database - when or what starts the cleanup running?
