Hello all... I am attempting to add the plugin TV Listings as the current plugin that comes with NPVR is not updating. The instructions in the site tell me to add the into my data directory and when I click on the link it takes me to another portion of the site and I am being asked to log in... It's a little confusing. Can someone better explain how I add this program to get it to work?
Also, is there a plugin that will automatically download XML files and artwork for the shows that are recorded?
Has two views, a what's new and a recordings view.
One this I have found is that if a recording is in progress It will play. But it never gets an updated time so it will stop.
On the pc version I did manage to get live TV working. So I'm not sure if I can add that later.
I've designed it so it will use the transcoding capabilities of plex. So I've been able to get our 1080i H.264 video working on an iPhone, Roku, Plex/Web and Plex Home Theatre. I did have PLexConnect working, but it seems to have stopped.
EDIT: 21-April-2014- includes live tv, and should get metadata from nextpvr.
on my dishnet receiver i noticed that unless i disable the dishnet updates, every day the dishnet receiver makes you press "select" in order continue watching.
if i disable the updates then I have to physical power off and back on this receiver according to what i read.
is there a way to have the hauppauge blaster program send a select before changing the channel? or is there something else someone can recommend?
a connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond
any help please
Hi,
I'm totally new to this. I'm trying to set up Nextpvr to work with my Hauppauge hvr-1600 and Directv receiver.
I've got the analogue device to show up but I'm not clear on the channel changing via IR blaster.
I gather I need a program called blastcfg. Where do I find that? I searched my hard drive but I don't have it.
Thanks,
I,
I am using TV Listings and like it. However, it does not show all 4 digits for Verizon FIOS channel numbers over 999. The rightmost digit is dropped. I cannot find a setting for this. This does not happen in the standard NextPVR guide. The channel icons are displayed in both guides.
I am new to next pvr and was not able to find a solution for an audio issue I am having. When I setup a device (HDPVR) it gives me 3 options rca back, rca front and spdif. I want to use rca back however every time I select this option it reverts back to spdif. I have tried deleting and adding back the device along with deleting config.xml. I have attached a screenshot of the setting along with my current and old config.xml and logs. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.
Hello people.
I've been toying (fighting) with NextPVR (ver 2.6.2... cool software, BTW) without making any progress, so I guess I can use some help.
I'm setting up a PC as a "proof of concept" before investing in dedicated equipment (to see if I can get all the components to play nice together), and as parts of my test I'm trying to record live tv on a Windows XP machine. I have an ATI TV Wonder Pro installed on the PC, but it's quite obvious the lack of a hardware compressor is a big hurdle, so I'm going for the "plan B"
I'm trying to do the testing with a USB device I have had sitting around for years (Dazzle DVC170), that is supposed to have hardware compression (as a matter of fact, judging by the CPU use while using the Pinnacle software, it does). I've connected a composite source to the DVC170 and I know it's working (checked using a 3rd party app, DVCCap), but I can't seem to make it work with Virtualdub or any other program for that matter.
I ran filtercheck (log attached) and, although I'm not sure what everything means, there's an entry under AM_KSCATEGORY_ENCODER and one under AM_KSCATEGORY_MULTIPLEXER. I added the following entry to analogdevices.xml:
and now the DVC170 shows up on the "devices" list. I added one "channel", setting the Composite input as "channel 1" (I've previously set the other inputs as channels as well, but the results are the same). When I select "Leve TV", though, all I get is a blank screen, and I don't know what's going on. I see some stuff get's reported as "missing" on the npvr log, but I don't know if those things are required to get this thing to work.
I've seen mentions about using GraphEdit to try to diagnose what's going on, but, alas, I have no idea how to set up a graph on it. The attached image shows the pins on the DVC170, if it helps. There's also a simple description of the subjacent hardware here: http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Pi...r_(DVC170)
Because I was having some trouble with one of my digital tuners I decided to delete it from the list in npvr and then add it again. Deleting it was no problem , but I have no idea to get it back. Any ideas?
