Hey Psycik
I tried the scanner
it worked once I figured out where to put the files (don't really know plex)
Just a couple of things:
I don't seem to get a description just a episode number
The names of the shows work
No fan art
If I had more than one folder selected it didn't seem to get all recordings
I prefer the channels as it has "whats new" (that is what we use most to watch from in npvr)
ZTools, ZProcess, ZTranscode has been done for a very long time now. Many new people might be going "ZEE-What???" and that's cool.
But for the handful of users still using UltraXMLTV I have to say, I'm giving up.
I really only ever coded anything, because I wanted a functionality that I didn't think existed. Or it was to streamline something that existed, but I thought was far too convoluted. Or I wanted to make it more fun...
I haven't been using ZTools for ever, Though I manually transcode a file here or there.
Ultra has been faithfully plowing away for me every night for that last few years, with only the couple of hiccups that anyone could tolerate. But I haven't been really using it. I haven't been recording TV off broadcast in over a couple of years, and haven't needed to look at my Guide.
Only recently did it dawn on me, that the 'season and episode number' feature wasn't working for me at all. And I didn't know where it broke...
And as I was stumbling through my old code, looking, I thought.. well... what was this all about anyway...
Well, It all started when I wanted to catch three shows that were being broadcast at the same time, I wanted to catch them all, and had only one VCR. I heard about this thing called GBPVR and well I was hooked.. Asking so many questions -- I knew full well people answering me were holding back snarls; Learning enough so I could answer a few of others' questions; and started writing documentation.
Fast forward almost 7 years, and I must say that I had a fabulous time. This forum truly is the absolutely safest place to be a newbie, and a wonderful community to share ideas. I learned a lot. and much time was passed...
I will not be removing any pages for documentation or my software. Do with it as you will.
WHurlston has been gracious enough to have given me space on his site EPGtools. That site is referenced by some of my software. But for the moments when it acts like a Neutrino (gone for a second, and then back into existence :-) ), Ultra should still work for those that it works for. For those that can't get it installed, well good luck (I would only reference my own docs and reiterate them).
I will not be cancelling my account. I was called back recently to answer a few questions easily enough. However, I'm not sure I will be of much use.
To all, new and old, the best of futures and/or alternate realities... Peace !
I had this issue previously but cannot find out where I read the fix. I remember I had to delete all contents of a folder. Could somebody please refresh my memory.
Hi I am a longtime user of GBPVR and trying out NPVR to see if it is worth switching. So far I like what I see but my problem is how can I get the Video Library to look like GBPVR. I liked GBPVR simple list view without the pane on the right? My files have long names that are blocked by that pane.
Since doing that, NPVR shows "No Available Capture Device" when attempting to click "Live TV" in NPVR and trying to tune a channel via XBMC returns a similar message (no tuners available).
In the configuration sections all of the tuners and channels show up, as expected, but NPVR itself (and also XBMC) is unable to use the tuners.
I have verified the tuners and channels work using the HDHR software.
Logs are attached, any help is appreciated as I am unable to watch any TV in my house right now.
I've followed instructions regarding how to setup NextPVR with XMBC. Enabling the add-on and Live-TV was no problem. XMBC is able to load all the channels from NextPVR successfully. However, whenever I click on a channel in XMBC, it just pops up a message saying "working..." for a few seconds. I don't see any television stream at all. Viewing channels in NextPVR however pose no problem.
By the way, I am viewing analog channels. I have a Hauppage 1250 Tuner on my Windows XP 64 bit machine. Everything else on NextPVR and XMBC Frodo run fine.
I'm hoping for help with my HDHomeRun Prime unit running on a Cablevision cable card. The provided Silicon software is able to successfully scan for and watch all my HD channels, no problem. When I scan for channels using the "HDHR" tuner device in NextPVR, however, no HD channels appear.
This is odd because NextPVR is able to interface fine with the tuner unit, and I can clearly monitor NextPVR's scan progression through various HD channels via the Silicon configuration GUI, which even reveals the precise channel names as the scan proceeds (e.g., 702:2.1 WCBS-HD). Sadly, none of them appear in NextPVR after the scan.
Basic steps I've taken:
1) Firewall exceptions for the 3x Silicon executables. Also dropped firewall entirely.
2) Set Silicon output to "Other: ATSC/QAM" option.
No luck.
I have provided three separate logs, one for separate QAM/ATSC/HDHR channel scans, with each off a fresh startup. As you can see, both QAM and ATSC scans are successful and I'm indeed able to record and/or watch these SD channels perfectly within NextPVR.
The issue is that none of these working channels are my HD channels. I can only assume this is because my HDHR tuner channel scan is coming up empty, which is precisely where the HD channels should show up. From the literature I've read here, "HDHR" is the correct tuner for me since I'm using a Cable Card. The problem seems localized within NextPVR because I'm able to watch all my HD channels using the provided Silicon software.
A post on the xbmc forums linked to this interesting Celeron based PC http://www.aliexpress.com/store/group/In...18487.html Apparently it is better than an Atom so for some it might make a good basic Windows client. It is interesting to me since it does highlight the "Windows tax", you double the price just for Win 7/8 and the required the 64GB SSD.
After setting up NextPVR to my Hauppaug 2250 tuner card with two tuners the only channels with sound are the analog channels called cable channels, how do i get sound from the QAM channels? My HTPC runs windows 7 with an ATI Radeon HD5500 video card sending video and sound (HDMI) cable to a 46"samsung TV.
