I must say i love NPVR so far.
I am not fully using it yet but what i have discover i love.
What i am attempting to do is watch livetv from outside my network using androids vlc. It is working beautifully but it keeps buffering. I was wondering if maybe there is a setting that i am missing that will allow me to change the bitrate.
The way i currently view from outside my network by typing the http://<myexternalipaddress>:8866/live?channel=2 into my android's vlc streaming address.
Also i have to manually type in the address in vlc. is there away to select from maybe an EPG?
I am using a zap2it XML file and I don't always get series and episode information in the metadata. It's probably their 95% of the time. My question is this; if there is no series & episode data in the database, does IGL try to do any other type of matching based on airdate or episode description, or does it just fail. It appears to just fail on the rename.
I have just installed NextPVR on a dedicated HTPC using a Hauppauge HVR2200 tuner card with the latest driver updates. I have created a new Brisbane.ini file to match the recently changed channels. The file is below:
Have been watching Wimbledon on BBC RB 303 HD.
It's a so called interactive channel showing multiple matches.
There seems to be no facility in NPVR to support this?
Maybe a future feature?
I can upload a sample if required.
Recently I have had lots of "Channel uses broadcast EPG connected to non-existant capture source" errors in the nrecord log and lots of "No Show Details" entries in the EPG. How do I fix this?
I recently reinstalled my tuner cards as I was getting "device failed to start" errors, could this be the cause?
I use NextPVR on a system without a remote control. I can't figure out how to change the order of my recurring recordings using only the keyboard. Any help would be appreciated.
I wanted to find out if it was possible to grab a set of ready-made channel groups for UK Freesat? Finding the management of the channels quite daunting and laborious!
Hi,
I have a problem when i am recording one show after another on the same channel.
Recording show 1 is fine until show 2 starts recording then it jumps and gets blocks then when show 1 finishes recording the same thing happens in show 2's recording
is there anyone that is able to help me fix this problem
Everything (but View Live in TV Guide) works within local network.
In config, clients, web server is enabled, web server port is (unchanged) 8866, I put in username and password.
I manually set <AllowRemoteStreaming> to true in config.xml in server.
I installed vlc (32bit version) and HFS. I set port forwarding in the router, tested okay. HFS selftest okay.
Added directories in HFS.
Added vlc player to "programs allowed to communicate via windows firewall" in windows firewall.
I tested http://my-external-ip-address:1000 (1000 being the port that HFS suggested) through vpnfresh.info (proxy). It's okay (shows directory structure set up in HFS).
