I am running Windows 7 and XBMC and I am trying to use a ATI TV Wonder HD750 USB tuner. I can scan for channels and even get some EPG information, but every time I go to actually watch live tv, whether in NextPVR or the XBMC Live TV add-on it usually tells me that it can't find the tuner (which, if I'm not mistaken, would make it pretty hard to scan for channels, right?). When it does work, which it's only done once, I don't have any sound.
Help. Please. I'd like to be able to watch the Super Bowl tomorrow. Thanks!
One, and only one, channel does not display its channel logo.
I get a "ndroid" icon instead. I get a valid logo on NPVR.
The channel name is "ABC2 / ABC4". Would the slash mess things up?
I have a Diamond branded ATI TV Wonder HD750 PCIE edition TV Tuner card. It works perfectly with Windows 8 Media Center and Mediacom Basic Cable, but i just get a black screen when i try to view live TV in NPVR. I've had it working with NPVR before, but one thing wouldn't work, so i'd mess with it and break something else. I have tried to watch live TV with windows and webroot firewalls completely turned off, so that shouldnt be the problem. I'll attach the logs so someone can see what's going wrong. I did find this in the ndigitalhost-22.log:

The rest of this post isn't related to the problem, but is a bit of background explaining everything i have attempted.
When i first installed NPVR a couple weeks ago, I had a black screen then as well. I don't remember everything i did, but I downloaded the community codec pack (i think) and used the LAV decoders and it worked eventually. The problem was that it wouldn't scan on correct frequencies to find the correct channels and I couldn't find a way to manually add channels within the program, so i first messed with the 0qam.ini (I only need the ClearQam function of the card) to attempt to make NPVR scan different frequency variations. After a lot of tinkering, It wouldn't find any channels. So, i used iobit-uninstaller to completely remove npvr and its files from my pc in an attempt at a fresh start. Some things didn't work after this, but i solved that all myself.
I ended up where i had been a few days earlier. It wouldn't scan on the correct frequencies, so i looked into editing the database directly. I found SQlite Expert Personal worked great, so i replaced channels that were on the correct base frequency with the correct service id (ie. 27.x where x is service id and 27 is base channel). Somewhere in between manually editing the DB3 and renaming the channels, npvr just quit working.
I have two set-top boxes from mediacom in my house, but am using Media Center to stream basic cable to my Xbox 360 in my room. I also want to stream TV to my android phone with XBMC. I had this part working early on when only a few of the channels were channels that i actually receive.

Goal
Build a stable backend to view livetv + recordings via xbmc in entire house to save DVR fees(@17/month). At present i'm using WMC to do this and would like to shift the desktop out of living room to the office. I don't want to buy xbox for each of the other rooms to view live-tv or recordings. Therefore looking for nextpvr type backend.
Challenges
1) I can view and record basic channels on PC BUT premium channels from provider doesn't work e.g. Disney Jr, CNBC, CNN, Fox business, Comedy Central, etc. There is no video or audio. The video will freeze after 1-2 seconds or blank screen. Basic channels like NBC, CBS, FOX works fine.
2) Live tv doesn't play on xbmc. Sometimes i can hear audio but no video. It seems that when it does work the video is in background somewhere. the plugin doesn't bring it to the front and the view channel list remains in the foreground. This behavior is for basic channels only as premiums don't even work on PC. I must say navigation is very painful especially on ATV with apple remote.
Magic codec combo after multiple trials:
- Video Renderer: VMR9, Audio & music renderer: Default
- Video decoders: LAV [Cybercoders/ffdshow or Microsoft DOESN"T work]
- Audio decoders: ffdshow

I have Comcast setup with a HD Home Run, I have a cable card in, activated. I have scanned all three tuners and it has 485 channels.
I have mc2xml setup and downloaded.
When I try to bulk map, all of the channels have NO EPG source by default. When I select one and choose XMLTV and it asks me to automap the rest, I hit yes but nothing happens. If I attempt to set a few to XMLTV with no channel selected and then try to Automap it removes XML TV from all of them except the one that I am currently on. How can I get this to work right, its going to take me all day to do 485 channels by hand on a laptop
I've spent countless hours trying to get everything working, but I seem to finally be at a dead end. NextPVR recognizes my tuner, pulls in the channel, has the show listings. But live TV will not work. I think its a codec or audio issue, but I am not sure what to do. Firewalls are all set, I've installed SAF codecs, and I've tried every combination.
I've attached the logs, any help from all the people here who are smarter than me would be greatly appreciated.
I installed X-NEWA and configured it properly. I was playing back recordings without issue. I restarted the XBMC PC (OpenELEC) and now playback doesn't work at all. When I select Play from the menu it just returns to the recording list without doing anything. Has anyone else seen this behavior? Sorry, I can't provide logs since I did not enable SSH when I installed OpenELEC. I have tried it both with and without Path Substitution and get the same results. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the X-NEWA addon. Note that the main NPVR addon can play back the recordings successfully.
This is probably already addressed, but I searched and couldn't find any info.
How do I get NextPVR to save the episode name as part of the .ts file name? NextPVR knows the name (I can manually get the name from the recorded episodes screen.)
I have done channel scan on HDHR 1, 2 and 3. Do I need to scan on the ATSC and QAM devices? The scans I have done appear to have picked up all of my channels via my cable subscription.
Also, I can't seem to bulk map the EPG for the channels. When I set the first EPG source to DVB it does not prompt to apple to the rest and I dont feel like setting the EPG for 489 channels.
