Is there a C# library (or libraries) that can be used for getting the metadata from the various music file formats supported by npvr? Just wondering what the best way to do it would be.
After installing, the ndroid app is fine. But, when you then go into the server settings screen, then return back out to the main screen without saving/altering anything, a file called uk.co.beetec.android.nDroid_preferences.xml is created in the shared_prefs directory. This sets my live streaming/recordings video stream playback to 'transcoding' and this then times out in my mx player, even though the transcoding is set to false on the settings screen and in the xml file.
If you then delete the xml file using a file manager, then reload the app, the app plays streams fine.
This condition is the same on both my samsung galaxy tabs.
I'm usually pretty good at figuring out any issues I come across either by playing around or reading forums/googling. That being said, I am having some issues with NEWA and I'm hoping somebody can help me.
I've been having issues setting series recordings where I will get an error message saying "recording failed" for no apparent reason. I was looking to upgrade to the latest version of NEWA for the bug fixes, and new features - especially mobile access, but while trying to follow the steps in the Documentation at http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?n=Manual.NEWA, it says to
- Delete all contents and directories in the \web folder (except for the bin directory...removing this will cause NextPVR to reinstall the default version of NEWA)
- Delete only the taglib-sharp.dll, System.Web.Extensions.Design.dll, System.Web.Extensions.dll, eWorld.UI.dll, Rss.dll, Rss.pdb, Rss.Net.dll and svg.dll files from the web\bin directory
- Extract the zip into your NextPVR data directory using the option to use directory names. This will load all the files into your \web directory and subdirectories.
In my C:\Program Files (x86)\NPVR - the only folder I have is "other". Isn't that were the \web folder should be?
Also, it says to delete only the "taglib-sharp.dll, System.Web.Extensions.Design.dll" etc files from the web\bin directory but when I perform a search on my machine for those files individually, they are all in separate folders such as "C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root\0a635572" - I could go through and manually delete each one but that doesn't seem like the proper way according to the guide.
If anybody could assist me, that would be greatly appreciated!
Ever since installing the R2 combined patch, I now often get video micro-pauses during live TV. This does not effect the audio and if I pause live TV for a couple of seconds, I can work around it.
I seem to remember back in the GBPVR days, there was a live TV buffer that could be adjusted in the config.xml file. I can't seem to find the setting in NPVR. Can someone point me in the right direction please?
BTW, this is with Satellite FreeView NZ (DVB-S).
Attached are my logs, captured fresh with the problem occuring.
I have been searching the net but have been unable to find something that i could use to fix this issue with the less tweaking possible.
I use the BlastCFG in combination with haupblast.exe and it works great for the most part but when my SA 8300 goes into sleep mode, when record times comes along , i get a recording in SD because blaster missed the first digit because of Wake up of the STB. Is there a easy fix for this...either sending a key press before channel digits are sent or something? I had a look at the Blastcfg but there doesnt seem to be anything there and there are options greyed out(maybe can still configure them via the ini file)
Just been delving into the now/next on my tabs and it looks like the listings are going astray. I've attached a screenshot showing an example, with the channel listing from the start.
Hey,
I am a new nextpvr user - moving away from 7MC.
Love the ease of installation so far - but have two issues:
1. No audio? Setting up channels is super easy, I use SPDIF optical cable from the set-top box to my colossus and select SPDIF - but no audio. Audio works just fine in 7MC - but not in nextpvr.
I installed R2 patches to 2.5.9 - still no go...
2. Video quality is not as good as in 7MC - lots of artifacts. What is the best codec to use? I tried LAV - doesn't work - I get a black screen... FFDshow is also so so. Any ideas how to improve video quality? I know it can be better since it is in 7MC...?
