My PostProcessing.bat is not doing what is is supposed to do anymore but Nrecord.log indicates that it is started. I haven't changed anything in that setup for ages, and I can't find anything wrong either. Is there an option to get a PostProcessing.log somehow?
I think I've raised this before for a downloaded show, but I was wondering if there was away to get this working, as I have to pull the plug on the PCH every time a show is completed. Recorded ts files are fine, but it simply does not exit gracefully to the NPVR menu for downloaded Youtube MP4s on the PCH.
Tha attached logs should show two instances of this, then me pulling the plug.
Anything that I can do to help troubleshoot?
The mp4s are downloaded as files using YTD btw, it's not streaming from youtube direct.
So this is my first step into the PVR world and i have been trying stuff out but nothing seems to be working and all the reading i have done on the forum is not helping much because i just dont know where to start. Here is my setup and what i have done.
Setup:
Location: Montreal, Canada
STB: HD8300 (with Videotron)
Card: Hauppauge Colossus (connected with Component + SPIDF to HD8300)
Unplugged HDMI from HD8300
Remove old Shark007 codec pack
Windows: 7x64
Media Center: XBMC
What i have done so far:
Installed Colossus with latest drivers (rebooted PC)
Installed NPVR
Signed up to Schedule Direct for EPG and added Videotron as Lineup
Added a channel 19 (602 19 45867 CBFTDT CBFTDT (CBFT-DT) ) or should it be 602 Logical Channel?
Associated the Channel to SD and was able to see it in TV guide
Problems:
Live TV is a black screen(Must be a decoder issue)
SPIDF doesnt stay for device setting.Always falls back to RGB.
Questions:
Do i need a codec pack, if so, which do you recommend?
How do i get SPIDF to stay in settings under Devices?
How should i setup my decoder section to get video and sound?
Since my goal is to use XBMC as frontend, do i need to configure the IRBlaster if im already using a IR (HA-IR01SV) for my Harmony Remote
Do i need to install the software that comes with the Colossus (Win7TV..i think its called)
Why am I able to watch and record shows in nextpvr that windows media center shows as encrypted? Mainly, these are network stations like abc, cbs nbc, and fox. WMC shows these as encrypted, but not in nextpvr. In fact nextpvr picks up many more stations than WMC. I am using a HDhomerun tv tuner. What gives?
On the face of it, the simple usage a relatively large screen icons looks a good match for 10ft usage. Obviously you can't touch your TV screen but some kind of mouse pointer replacement, like the Wii remote for example, could work.
Has anyone tried it out or found any info or reviews of Windows 8 metro and apps from an HTPC perspective?
Any Idea why I sometimes get Unhandled Exceptions when trying to record certain things?
This happened when trying to record using "quick record". But it sometimes happens with normal recordings too. I havent managed to notice a pattern as to why this is happening. It also happens when I use searchlite with newa on occasion.
Details of exception:

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
I was able to successfully map the channels to schedule's direct, but not for the channels 1000+. The only difference I've seen is that schedule direct uses a ',' in their number. I tried searching for this issue, but wasn't able to find it in the forums. Is there a config setting to fix this issue?
I've been trying to get nextPVR recognize my Hp digital/analog hybrid for hours with no success so I've decided to ask for help. I want to use nextPvr for backend analog and xbmc for front end and im using windows 7 64bit.
Under Devices i have currently listed.
ATSC HP ATSC tuner
QAM HP ATSC tuner
I have followed the instructions as best i can for adding a analog tuner, this included trying to install WinTv 7.2 which would not install as i don't have the correct hardware installed, i also attemted the batch file SoftPVR_64bit method which didnt seem to work either.
I then followed the adding analog devise documentation and ran the FilterCheck utility.
then attempted to edit and add a devise in AnalogDevices.xml
Adding
<Device filter="HP Analog Capture">
<Name>HP Analog Capture</Name>
<Type>SOFT_ENCODE</Type>
</Device>
This has not worked and im wondering what i might be doing wrong, or if this card even supports analog on nextPvr,however i am able to tune to analog signals with windows media center, and the Hp preinstalled software..
Here is my log.. Thanks in advance for any help.
