I've got a bit of a problem with some Irish satellite channels coming from KA-SAT. Everything was working fine until a few days ago. I haven't changed my system, so I'm guessing that the broadcaster has changed their stream in some way.
NPVR is locking the channel and making recordings, but the recordings can't be played back. NPVR / WMP / VLC all show blank screens and no auto, can't seek the file. VLC 'sometimes' manages to render the first frame. VideoReDo is able to play back the whole file (with audio), showing that the data is definitely there, but seemingly corrupt in some way.
Just wondering do the logs suggest anything I could do at my end?
I can provide a sample recording via PM if anyone is interested in looking at the file.
I'm new to NextPVR, I did use GBPVR a couple of years ago. I have loaded NextPVR, and when I try to run the UPDATE EPG tab on Channels all I get is a TV Guide with a maximum of 2 hours of programs listed for each channel. I use DVB/ATSC EPG for all the channels as per the automatic setup on the Channels page. The blank times in the TV Guide are shown as "no show details". See attached Log and TV Guide.
Thanks

Today I got problems with recording tv shows. I use AVG and it deleted the Nrecord.exe.
Therefore I made a upgrade/new install of NPVR and now I cannot get the program to record or watch live tv.
When I scan for channels the program finds all the channels (I use a HD Homerun device) and I can watch live tv from HD Homerun quick view program.
When I schedule a recording I do not get any errors and when the recording is startid it is creating the file for the record but it has only 0 byte. The tray icon turns red and a tuner is assigned.
I use a modified version of the Next Blue Skin. Before Version 2.5.5 of NextPVR this Skin showed a preview image in all Tabs of the Recording menu, if one exists in the media/shows subdirectory.
Since Version 2.5.5 this preview images are only shown in the "Ready Recording" Tab, not in the other ones anymore. Details described in http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...Recordings. It's not a problem of the skin but of NextPVR, I think.
Just tried to schedule a recording which NPVR won't allow and displays the conflict dialog- from Npvr log:
2012-12-25 18:23:55.380 [DEBUG][5] TV Listings: Unable to schedule recording 'Record Once, [7566263] Top of the Pops: 1978 (c_7359, 04/01/2013 21:50 - 22:50)', probably because there is no capture source available.
It's when I try to add the second Top of the Pops 1978 [see attached image]
If I use the default guide instead of TV Listings that won't allow it either though it doesn't log anything about the supposed conflict.
I've a dual tuner and the HD channels are all on one multiplex and obviously both TOTP are on an another so it should work [ the shows I want are Red ].
Apologies in advance for this basic question that's probably been answered many times, but I'm brand new at this over the past day and my searches led to some answers, but nothing to fix my problem.
I am importing an mc2xml xml file into the epg. Everything updates properly except for the fact that my times are off by 1 hour (each piece of data should be 1 hour later.) This seems like a daylight savings time issue. My computer is set correctly I believe - eastern time, daylight savings time updates automatically. Is there a way to change the time by 1 hour? I use the mc2xml windows UI interface, so not sure if there is something I should be using command line to deal with this issue or...
I've been having some problems the past couple months where NPVR won't play the audio from my hdpvr, I know the audio works (it works fine in totalmedia extreme). This happens in both livetv and recordings.
I'm using an older hdpvr, not the newer ones. I'm also using SPDIF audio. So far the only solution I've found is to delete the config/data files for npvr and start over fresh.
I've included the last log files, but I didn't notice much.
