I'm trying to setup nPVR for watch copyfreely channels with my HDHomerun Prime. I can setup and it find the channels, but when I try to play livetv it only gets me a black screen with no audio. Is there any guide or special step I need to do to be able to watch tv with nPVR? My final intention is to use XBMC+nPVR, but I first need to make nPVR to play TV.
One thing I hate about building a new computer is all the little things you have to do over.
So, I finally got to the part where I set up my NMT and as usual, I've hit a road block. After I got it setup I do show NPVR as an option on the NMT but get a "request cannot be processed" message.
NMT Checker gives the following:
Checking for mvpmc share on MEGAPC
mvpmc C:\mvpmc
Checking GB-PVR.html links
C:\mvpmc \GB-PVR.html not found
MAC
GB-PVR Not Installed
I'm sure I missed something but since it's been almost 2 years since I set this up, I can't remember but I think I followed the info on the wiki to a 'T'.
Thanks

I have a couple of late revision (2.8B) Technisat Skystar 2 cards with BDA driver version 4.6.0 (latest). I am seeing the same problem as others have before me in NPVR. Here's what happens:
Boot the PC - the first time I tune to a DVB-S channel for live TV, playback is fine.
Stop live TV and then select a channel to watch - picture freezes, or displays a mostly green screen.
Interestingly - If I don't actually stop live TV and change channels, everything is fine. Also, sometimes if I restart the recording service, I can get live TV working again.
Just wondering if there is anything in my logs that might give a clue as to what's going on? These logs are created fresh from the first successful playback of live TV and then the second attempt which fails.
Hi have been having trouble getting any audio from npvr on my laptop, all other programs are fine.Problem seems to have started since I used it with a hdmi cable on a big lcd screen, I have set renderer to default, and tried all others to no avail, it was previously working, am using ffdshow or microsoft audio renderer or ac3filter, no type of audio will work ie. ts mp3 mp2 aac mp4, its on win 7 64, its driving me nuts, any ideas anyone??
I've also scoured the forum for a solution but could not find one. I could write code to KILL the NextPVR process but would prefer a more orderly exit method. Anyone have any suggestions?
After building a new box, (I'm still tweaking things) I keep seeing the system wakes from sleep and powercfg tells me the NPVR recording service is the culprit. There's no recordings scheduled nor is the EPG set to update during this time.
I don't recall seeing this previously but is there some setting that can be changed to stop it from waking when there is no scheduled event?
My epg quit updating about 3 weeks ago, I've had this problem before and it just started working with no intervention from me. I use the built in SD support for my epg, I had been updating manually but last night I updated my nshared and npvr files trying to get xmbc working on my android stick and now there is no manual update epg button in settings. I did grab a set of logs which I'll attach.
I seem to remember from the gbpvr days that when you resume from pausing a video or recording you got a small 1/2 second skip backwards. Does npvr still do that and if so, is there a setting in Config.xml for the skip size?
