Two HDHR's, only one set showing in status screen
Posted by: SickBoy - 2012-12-03, 03:10 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (10)

Hi,

I've got two HDHR devices (one older, one newer, both NOT the "prime" model), but only one of them shows up in the NPVR status screen. Both show in the HDHR config app and I can use any of the 4 to tune channels.[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

When I run through the device setup, I'm able to scan for & map channels on the 101175DC-0 and -1 devices, but it doesn't want to seem to utilize those tuners at all. I tested it out by removing one of the channels from the mappings for the other HDHR tuners. (Originally I had noticed it because I had two concurrent recordings going, and was unable to watch live TV)

XBMC 12.0 beta 1 installed, I get "NextPVR connection lost" message
Posted by: Wakalaka - 2012-12-03, 12:21 AM - Forum: Kodi / XBMC - Replies (32)

I followed http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=PVR...nd/NextPVR and keep getting "NextPVR connection lost" message in the lower right corner.
I disabled my firewall. I searched the forums to find an answer but I have failed to find one. Does a web interface need to be installed and enabled?
I don't know what is causing this "NextPVR connection lost" message.

  Timing.info and XBMC
Posted by: toricred - 2012-12-02, 10:49 PM - Forum: Kodi / XBMC - Replies (5)

Since changing to NPVR I have been having frequent problems with my recordings made on an HDHR. Today I finally figured out the common factor. The problem recordings have timing.info files associated with them. The issues are related to the reported length while watching them and skipping either forward or back. My colossus recordings are all fine so I am wondering if there's a way to not have external timing.info?

  Hauppauge WinTV-DCR-2650 help Please
Posted by: bigmahlman - 2012-12-02, 07:58 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (9)

Just picked up the 2650 from new eggs black friday sale, got it working great with windows media center / cable card. But I would really prefer to use xbmc for everything. From what I have seen NPVR is the only available front end that wil support the cable card. So my first question is this actually possible?

Currently I am stuck with the black screen of death issue. Dont know if its a codec/decoder problem or somthing else I missed in the setup.

Steps I have taken
Activated cable card tuner with Windows Media Center/Cable Company. Have it working on premium channels inside Windows Media Center
Downloaded NEXT PVR and installed
Downloaded the HD Homerun software so NPVR can detect the card.
Scanned for channels
changed my buffer/record location to my usb 3.0 hard drive

when scanning the channels initially it said that channels are mpeg2
I have tried both MPEG decoders (Microsoft DTV-DVD video Decoder and Dscaller Mpeg2 Video Decoder) I am using EVR for video Render.

Windows 7 PC

  Configuring multiple satellites in NPVR?
Posted by: Swift_gti - 2012-12-02, 07:52 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (12)

Hi Guys,

I'm just playing around trying to setup NPVR and seem to be having some trouble getting my Diseqc to work..
I have 2x LNB's (28.2E & 19.2E) linked up with one of these - it is all working OK under Mediaportal, but I can't make it work in NPVR Sad

In the NPVR digital recorder settings I've tried 22Khz A/B and also Diseqc A/B/C/D entering 28.2E in the first drop down, and 19.2E in the second (this is how they are setup in MePo) I left all other settings at default.
When I run 'Scan' for channels it only finds channels that are on 28.2E...

Do I have to change the defaults of LOF1/LOF Switch/LOF2??

Cheers!

  NPVR stopped tuning FTA DVB?
Posted by: jksmurf - 2012-12-02, 12:27 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (2)

This used to work in NPVR, but the tuner went TU a week or two ago, so, I bought another one like my second tuner, now I get no DVB EPG at all?

Oddly, BDAChannel scan shows both to have 80% Quality, 75% strength so they "should" be OK. I can also view the channel itself just fine. In addition Peter Clare's DVBGuide does download an EPG, albeit it does flag a weak signal (and an error).

Any thoughts? A Channel Scan shows the source exists - why would the EPG update not think it is exists?

NextPVR v2.5.9 MCE Remote Can't Stop AVI
Posted by: mbluett - 2012-12-01, 11:08 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (7)

Everything else seems to work in NextPVR v2.5.9 except controlling a playing AVI file.

Specifically, I cannot STOP an AVI after starting it. I can stop the AVI using the mouse.

If I right-click (with the mouse) before using any of the Remote keys then it works. I can then STOP the AVI by pressing the CLEAR button on my MCE Remote. The STOP button still cannot be used to STOP the AVI. Also the REW & FFW will only work after doing the mouse thing.

I can completely control LiveTV as well as any MPG file. Just not AVI's.

This is the case whether I use the MS MCE drivers or whether I use HIP. In the case of HIP I have configured CTRL-s for STOP but to no avail.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

NEWA TV Guide Color Change Possible Please?
Posted by: yardern - 2012-12-01, 05:07 PM - Forum: NextPVR Enhanced Web Admin (NEWA) - Replies (2)

Right now it is black background.
But all other webpages (wiki/imdb) are white color.
Switching between them makes eye un-comfortable.

Could it be changed?

Thanks.

  imageGrabLite 1.2
Posted by: mvallevand - 2012-12-01, 04:32 PM - Forum: Community Announcements - Replies (90)

Attached is an update to imageGrabLite that will create XBMC compatible TV Show and Movie NFO files so all files will be available in the libraries even when they can't be renamed. Since this option uses the NextPVR filename, it can be run in ParallelProcessing.bat.

The syntax to fetch metadata that will work in NextPVR and also create the NFO files iin ParallelProcessing.bat on 32bit is

"C:\Program Files\NPVR\imageGrabLite.exe" --oid %3 --nfo

I expect the normal use for the --nfo option would be in PostProcessing.bat. If you add the --nfo option in PostProcessing.bat it will create the .NFO files. Combined with use of the --rename option when the file can't be found online, or when the file is in use, an NFO file will be created. If the file can be renamed, no NFO file is made, and existing NFO files for that file will be deleted.

Other new features

- command line --season can be used to respect the NextPVR season and episode values in renaming (and in NFO files)
- automatic parsing of description that end with a season and episode number
- improved matching in a few more cases

It's time for some wiki work I think until then other information post on imageGrabLite are here
