So, I'm about to go into the IR blasting world and I've got a few questions.
I'm going to have the following:
hvr1800 (one blaster?)
adaptec dual tuner (two blasters)
possible HDPVR (one blaster)
All of which have IR blasters and two of which have IR receivers.
I will at first be using one blaster but want to eventually get multiple blasters. How do I go about doing this? I am currently set up using IRSS 1.4.2.3496.
So, I noticed that NPVR (or I should state the prior version) had a plugin/add-in that would allow netflix streaming -- until Netflix redid the API a bit over a year ago...
Is it safe to assume the combo of NPVR + Netflix is no longer at this point without a fair amount of effort to re-do things to work not only with the updated Netflix API but also NPVR..? Just curious..
I've recently installed NextPVR to use with my Happauge HVR-2250 TV tuner. I'm not having any problems getting a video feed, but I haven't been able to get any audio with live TV. The audio stream is identified as AC3. My audio renderer is set to default.
So far I've downloaded, installed, and tried decoders from AC3Filter, CCCP, and SAF6. Nothing has worked. I really don't know where to go from here. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I just realized that when I configured my EPG I didn't see a way to make sure it updates. As it turns out I haven't gotten an update since I first manually populated it. How do I get this set up?
Would be nice to have text search of the guide as it was in GBPVR - I dont want to use the searchlite plugin because it depends on NEWA being started and I prefer not to have that running.
I installed the Frodo nightly from 8th with the npvr addon and had it working. Today I updated to the nightly from 15th, and after that the npvr addon won't start. I can disable it but the uninstall button is not enabled, I tried to load it from the .zip again and XBMC said "update failed".
- What can I do to fix it?
- Where does XBMC keep logs, database and all the downloaded stuff (thumbs, fanart, subtitles etc)?
Under GBPVR I was able to add a cature source for the svideo port on my PVR150 card, then set it up with the channels I wanted, use haupblast as the channel changer and it all works well.
I've been messing around with that under NextPVR and it seems like I can't add a capture source so I have to add all of the STB channels indivually to my card and then assign them to the svidoe port on that card. Is that how you intend it to be or am I missing something? With about 230 channels to add that will be a daunting task - so I wanted to get your input before I start plugging away at it.
Ok.. Since I can use my old Pioneer Plasma (6-8 years old now) with NPVR w/o issue I pointed it to the old SageTV folder with about 1.4Tb of videos recorded OTA.. I think it picked up and had available about 385 shows.. Now, none of them have any icons when going through the video screen -- they're all blank (or a solid color).. I will say that I didn't give NPVR any particularly long period of time to fill things in if it wanted to.. Since that was my first time using that part of NPVR I'm not sure what I'm supposed to see there -- do those fill in automatically based on existing metadata of some sort or ??

P.S. I tried a handful of videos and they come up just fine!
First off I would like to say thank you for developing software that will finally help bridge the gap for xmbc+live tv! As you can tell by my user name I am very excited!
second - what I have to work with.
I currently switch between xbmc and MC7 for live tv. It is not the most fluent work around and the WAF is very low.
We run multiple xbmc instances in the house and 1 thing that bugged the heck out of us was the inability to dvr to a network share, so thank you for that option.
My question is - what is the best way to get nextpvr and xbmc integrated and working for live tv? I have followed the instructions listed here. When attempting to access live TV xbmc freezes and hangs on "working" unfortunately.
Any advice/tips/tricks would be greatly appreciated.
