I added a Hauppauge Nova HD USB2 (dvb-s2) tuner today, and it's been giving me massive problems. When scanning for channels I get random BSOD.
Googling I notice it's not uncommon with hauppauge cards and BSOD (although I've allways had good experience with them) So I figure it was a bad card, but kept on trying to scan, chaning usb ports etc.
I finally as a test install For The Record again, and do a full scan, after scanning 200+ freq, finding several hundred channels withouth issue, I try live-tv without problem... seems again i have a problem with my tuner and NPVR.
But where to start this time ? Logs say nothing about the BSOD. Even viewer isn't very helpfull either (there are ofcourse crash dumps).
Since I've updated to 2.5.5 I've had to manually update my epg (built in schedules direct support). Everything worked fine before the update, logs attached.
Hi, I've been using GB-PVR and found it really good but it saves the recoded TV videos as TS files. Can a setting be changed for it to save these files as avi or mpeg2? Thanks
Hi,
Just noticed all listings from Sat 1400 are an hour late effecting scheduled recordings.
I use Dvb T with EPG collector and do not know regarding Dvb S.
This comes right tomorrow at 0600.

I'm currenlty using Media Portal TVServer and xbmc has front end and I wish to give NextPVR a try. (I used GBPVR years ago)
Before doing the test I stop the TVServer (MePo) and Stop and Start NextPVR Service.
I have 4 tuners setup and when I scan only one is able to find any channel.
I did a short scan of each the tuner and I'm attaching the log, it does not seem to report anything in error but maybe some one will have an idea of what's wrong.
This may or may not affect you according to the media release
if you have lost or lose reception between these dates you may need to rescan the media works channels http://www.mediaworks.co.nz/IMPORTANT-NO...fault.aspx
I had a drive failure earlier this week and after rebuilding TV Listings is showing guide info but is not is two days short compared to NPVR's TV guide. As well any recordings made in TVListings give a red dot but then the dot goes away- the recording does show and run in TV guide. There are no recordings listed in "ready, sched, etc".
Running 2.5.5 with R1 and the latest TVListings.
"Findmore" and "create link" works.
I can view correct info on a client with NEWA.
Thanks
Title pretty much says it all... previously working installation on Win7 64. But just recently, some channels have begun playing (Live TV) and recording choppy and pixelated, whereas others are just fine.
Haven't changed any hardware or settings. I did recently installed the 2.5.5 update... don't know if that's coincidence or not.
