testing the old bug regarding refreshing the folder.jpg in anything but list mode eventually causes a generic GDI+ error. I think I tried uninstalling then installing again but for some reason it still remembered some of my settings.
I've been using a Hauppauge 950q for a year or two with no issue. Got a second 950q. The original 950q no longer works, but the new one does. When I try to scan channels on the original, it shows 'Device failed to start'. XP device manager shows both USB sticks. I didn't change any connections to the original 950q.
Just downloaded NextPVR and it seems to run fine so far. Issue is I need to change channels on my STB. I ordered in a USBIRT, but I can't find any info on getting it to run with NextPVR. Searching the forum comes up with it working in gbPVR, and all examples are with a program called usbuirtsend.exe
Anyone know where I can find this program, or have a walk through on getting the usbirt to change channels from NextPVR?
Since I'm running linux clients, I've compiled the plugin from git.
I'm currently using xbmc 12.0Aplha5 git (30 aug)
I can install and enable the addon fine, however it doesn't work.
Restarting xbmc result in crash, unable to start xbmc again without deleting TV database.

If you're new to NextPVR, see the list of pre-requisite software at: http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...requisites (directx runtime, visual c++ runtime etc). If you're upgrading from an earlier build, you need to make sure you stop the NextPVR software before installing.

This release is a fairly small upgrade from the previous 2.5.5 release. It's largely a rollup of the 2.5.5, plus latest patches, plus changes in the client/server support to allow xbmc clients. From the change log:

I understand that there are numerous scripts or batch files that run at various times based on NPVR events -- such as post processing when a new recording is completed.
What I would like to do is run a batch file every time just before a completed recording is played -- so that I can make a series of changes to my special decoder setup before playback starts based on the file type (which I determine from inside the batch file). An example of what I want to do would be to use one decoder configuration for 720P recordings and a different configuration for 1080i recordings.
I have the batch file working correctly and I use it on a regular basis (for over a year now) with Zoom player - which has the built in option to run a file every time before playback starts. Everything works great and the decoder settings are just the way I want them for every type of video.
I need to add new channels to the lineup for my HDHR Prime. When I scan channels in NextPVR, all the channels appear. Can I select only the new channels to add to the existing selection, or do I need to re-select the entire desired lineup?
I use to have the issue with bad/corrupt time indexes on recordings in GBPVR quite frequently. With this issue it was not possible to skip during playback, which was an annoyance (man, we are spoiled!) especially with long recordings. I will say the occurrence of this problem (for me) has dropped dramatically with NPVR (kudos, Sub!), but I still do run into it occasionally. With GBPVR there was a utility you could run on the .mpg that would re-index the timeline of the recording file and then it would work fine. Does that utility still exist and does it work on the .ts files? Can someone point me towards it? I'm either using the wrong terminology in my searches or maybe I'm just getting too many false hits, but I haven't been able to locate it.
I just found another such recording. The odd thing with this one is that the playback time is counting down from the end time (instead of counting up from 0:00). The video is actually playing forwards as you'd expect.
I have a DVD system with headrest 9" TVs (monitors) in my 2011 Honda Pilot. I got them from OnFair.com and I love them. You can see my SUV and the headrest setup in their "Customer Photos" section (2011 Honda Pilot). Unfortunately, my kids keep scratching the DVDs. I finally found DVDFab.com . Now, I back up all of my DVDs to ISO files. I print images on the DVDs using my Epson Artisan 730 printer (love it!). I keep the original DVDs in my office and I only let the kids use the copies in the DVD player in our SUV.
Now, here is the problem. I have a bucket full of DVDs for the kids to watch in our SUV. This is a real hassle. The bucket falls over and makes a mess. The kids still scratch the DVDs and I have to take the time to burn new copies (20 minutes each). I want to build a small computer and put it under the passenger's seat. Then, I can hook the computer up to the headrest monitors (TVs). However, for this system to work, the NextPVR software needs to be able to play ISO files that are images of DVDs.
In other words, if I have a drive full of ISO files, can NextPVR select and play the DVD movies from the NextPVR menu using these ISO files? This process needs to be easy because my kids are 8 yrs old and 10 yrs old.
I know, I know, should be using NPVR :-)
But most odd thing - since the change to 8spk I cannot get either BBC HD channel. It was previously DVB-S2, so the only change seems to be the change to 8spk and fec of 23.
I don't usually scan for channels - I manually edit the scan.cache as it's quicker. I am using;

Also tried a manual scan of 10847 V 2/3 - but it cannot find any channels - in fact it says there is no signal at all.
I thought it maybe my Nova HDS2 card not liking 8spk, but they do work in WinTV....
Any ideas? Any die-hard GBPVR users able to share their tuning strings?
