I'm having issues with the streaming URL produced from the web epg
I can stream if I manually enter the URL - http://myipaddress:8866/live?channel=###
That will work for VLC quite happily
First when i setup a recording i would like the option to transcode. Further when i am done watching a show and i press stop the popup i used to start the show is still there except when i try to navigate to the delete option with my hauppauge remote. It bounces me back out to the show selection screen and i have to go back in to delete the show. A minor annoyance.
V2.5.5
I am using comskip.
I have made some recordings of tv shows sometimes i can play the show straight through with no issue. Then sometimes when i go back to watch the show again the recording will start out correct but then slowly video and sound will get noticeably out of sync. If i stop watching and go back using the resume feature everything is back to normal. What is going on here?
Until very recently I have always had Recurring Match set to âExactâ. I changed it to âMatch start of titleâ to see if it would cure the problem where several programmes in a series had a slightly different title but it didnt help and didnt bother to change the setting back as it didnt seem to be doing anything.
However over the weekend I noticed NextPVR had started recording lots of ânewâ episodes of âRed Dwarf Vâ even though there should only be 6. Earlier in the year I had a manual recording looking for programmes starting with âRed Dwarfâ but later changed it to âRed Dwarf Vâ as this series was incomplete for me. Looking up the titles of the new episodes on line I found that they are actually part of series VII and VIII. I have gone back to using âExactâ match and created a new manual recurring recording to catch the series VII and VIII programmes I am missing.
Does âMatch start of titleâ usually crop the title of the recordings in this way?
I'm a new NPVR user and I've managed to get everything working except HD channels. I know they're there because WMC shows them just fine. I decided to try NPVR since WMC is lame and won't give up the mouse in full screen mode when using multiple monitors and since our HTPC is also the "family PC", we still need to be able to use the comp if someone is watching TV.
I'm running 2.5.5 with the SAF codec pack from another member here (hodorg, maybe?). My tuner is a dual channel Hauppauge 1800 card and it the channels seem to show up like they should in the channel list, but switching to them produces SD video quality.
'Love the utility...nice job. The utility works great with the default skin on my system. Now I'm trying to get it working with NextBluepace skin. Unfortunately, several parts of the skin render as white with white text. I'm happy to tinker with the skin file, but am a bit at a loss as to where to start. Below are screen shots showing the problem. Can someone help by identifying the object name for the white areas and let me know where their color can be changed (it does not look to me like these are in the TVlistings.xml or TVRecordings.xml skins, so they must be coming from somewhere else). Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Brian, this post is to accompany a crash log sent through the Android market place.
My device is a Sony tablet S running Android 4.0.3, and the service is running on a WHS 2011 machine (Server 2008 based x64). I have disabled the window firewall for this test.
The service appears to install and run correctly, and the app installs and fires up the initial config screen. After setting the config (web user/password verified as the same for npvr and ndroid) the app then runs, goes through it's downloading/extracting files/ populating database message. Once that's complete the screen that appears has the days of the week across the top in buttons that I can select (but nothing else happens), and next to the ndroid logo in the top left corner it says -1:UNKNOWN. There is nothing else on the screen, which is unresponsive to any taps, etc. If I tap on the logo or the "-1:UNKNOWN" text the app crashes.
The file structure in the /sdcard/Android/data/uk.co.beetec.android.nDroid/files/temp directory appears to be in place populated (15 files there). There is plenty of space available.
Just noticed that I lost a week of recording after I updated to latest update. It makes the program folder and file, but does not record [just shows 0 KB for size]. It seems to think that it's recording from the logs, but it obviously isn't. I'm sure that I'm missing something obvious. It was working great until I did the update.
FOUND THE PROBLEM... Update executable file names a bit different, and had to update Win7 Firewall to allow HDHomerun to gain access with new file names.
- added 'Archive' feature. Only shows up if multiple recording directories are specified. Will move the recording, and any associated files. Also, PreArchiving.bat and PostArchiving.bat will be called around the archiving for users wanting to hook in their own custom logic.
I just worked out how to do this, which is great and would save me the Files Plugin (apologies for duplicate request btw).
However I have request, I would like to keep general recordings in the recordings menu, and have a new separate menu for Archived Shows (generally movies, which I watch less often than e.g. weekly TV series), otherwise while the show itself is archived, the name is kept under recordings, and the Recordings menu list gets really long.
I'm coming from BeyondTV, and one of the features I liked there was that it would automatically manage the amount of storage it used for TV shows. Set it to 1TB, it would automatically delete shows before recording others to make sure the used space stayed at or below 1TB. Is there any comparable feature for that in nPVR?
