I have noticed that with NextPVR, some recordings when NPVR reaches the end of a recording, it smoothly "bounces" back and replays a portion of the recording. It may be going back to the last comskip marker.
I haven't played with it enough yet to notice is it does this when there is a comskip'd segment at the end of the recording, but it may be the case that there always is.
(relatively new NPVR install for me, just the patched Aug? build/ Nov patches and now the January release tested).
Does this sound familiar to anyone? I did a quick search of the forum but didn't see comments about this.
If I select a channel in the TV Guide (group All Channels) and watch it for a while, after pressing Stop or Back the guide always returns to channel # one. This is very annoying, is it supposed to be so or is it a bug?
I am correct in understanding this records only shows that are missing and haven't been recorded yet even if the show was originally broadcast months or years ago? Or is it for shows marked as new in the EPG that have never been broadcasted before?
Is there a way to switch between audio streams in a recording or video? Ctrl-G works fantastic within the DVD function, but I can't figure out how to do this in other videos. I have a number of .mkv videos with English and German audio tracks.
I usually only need the first (english) track, but when the kids' German friends come over I like to be able to switch to the German. Ctrl-G worked great for this in GBPVR but doesn't seem to here. Any ideas?
How can I install the next pvr on the 'Dune HD smart D1'?
I have already installed the next pvr on the eGreat M32A, this is working great.
On the eGreat I have setup a network mapping (smb) to a share mvpmc, there I have load the index.html which is using mvpmcx2 to load.
Hopefully you can advise because I have no idea how to load the index.html on the Dune HD smart d1. Unfortunately it will not open when I browse to this webpage.
I'm thinking of adding a bluray player to my PC but wanted to know a couple of things :
1. Will NPVR support playing blurays via the DVD menu option?
2. Can i rip Blurays and play them back though NPVR?
3. Assuming it will all work, can i easily get a decoder?
When I choose the recording type: 'Record Season (Daily, this timeslot)' I get double recordings of the same program on that day.
Example.
I want to recording the NEWS daily from 19:30 to 20:00 hour, the program named 'RTL Nieuws'.
The NEWS also starts daily from 18:00 to 18:15 hour.
When I setup the recording from 19:30 to 20:00 hour by recording type: Record Season (Daily, this timeslot)
in my TV Guide, the program is recording all daily 'RTL Nieuws' programs on this channel. I know that I can use the MAN-REC option, but it would be great if I only have to use 'Record Season (Daily, this timeslot)'.
Hopefully you can help me?
Thanks.

when i scan for channels with an ota tuner, i get the channel numbers in a sequential order.( 1,2,3,4,5 etc) these are not the actual channel number. ive tried changing them to a normal number for my area. scanned channel 1 might = 2.1 or channel 7 might equal 23.2. i can change them on the one window but when i close the window they revert back to the scanned number. is this normal? this has no internet connection and is being used for ota recording.
Is it possible to record a TV show based on the EPG description? For instance, I want to record any college basketball game Duke plays. I can do a series recording for âCollege Basketballâ but it will record every âCollege Basketballâ game regardless of who is playing. Is it possible to add an additional parameter to only record if âDukeâ is in the description? Thank you.
My parents cable provide (Yousee) seems to have decided to move back in time, so subtitles for hearing impaired is only available with teletext subtitles.
Any way I can persuade you to support teletext subtitles preferably with opaque box?
