I've been trying to add a second PCH to my setup and apparently messed something up. I restored my GBPVR/MVPMC folders back a few days and am still having trouble. Anytime I try to play a video from the PCH it shows a black screen and return to the menu (files play OK from PVRX2.exe). I attached log and NMT checker file. Thanks for your time.
1. Default forward skip size is defined in the "Playback" section of config.xml file.
2. Default back skip size is defined in the "Playback" section of config.xml file.
3. The units (minutes/seconds) which the video is skipped by is configured in the "Playback" section of config.xml file.
4. Auto, Fill, Remove LetterBox, PillarBox.
I spent ages doing these originally but now for LiveTV they are missing?
I do not know what I can do to help? Basically I can't! As do not have the time at the moment, but transfer, somewhere has lost some stuff :-(
I cannot see where or how?
Please don't take this the wrong way. I am just ashamed that I can't help with this kind of thing at the moment to resolve....
As some of u may know I have had problems with this program, but believe that it is pretty kick ass!
I have upgraded my hardware and the system is very fast. I wish to take one step at a time and I will address one issue at a time till they are resolved.
I have installed fresh os, win7-64, updated all appropriate files, have 3gb ram, half tb sata drive, latest but not best audio and video cards.
Have installed latest version of npvr and was able to copy over old database and convert to recognize tuner and channels. I could not use the old config.xml file nor use previous plug ins. I am close to starting over so one problem at a time! One previous problem was choppy video with live tv, but with new setup the program runs smooth. Problem is no audio. I have mapped my music and audio works fine with it. Any ideas?
I attempted to Record Season (NEW episodes on this channel) but it decided that none of the shows met its' requirements.
Why is this? Does this only apply to the an EPG that flags programmes as new?

I can;t seem to find a way to reduce the logging level. Is there a setting to reduce the logging level to "Error" like we used to have back in the old days?
i have now a small problem playing back hd material within all npvr setups. Some hd channels are stuttering while watching live tv, while some others just are "black". Audio is available, but it sounds mechanical.
This happens ONLY within NPVR while watching Live TV or as normal videofile (copied into the media archive).
Playing back the recorded bufferfiles with Graphedit, VLC or Windows Media Player, there's absolutely no problem. Graphedit and Windows Media Player are using the same splitter (LAV 0.44), the same videodecoder (ffdshow -> libavcodec) and the same audiocodec.
This means: the recorded .ts files are fine and there's perhaps a bug on another place? Non hd material isn't a problem at all, it's just fine as usual.
Otherwise i could see a very high cpu usage while playing back the hd content; even with the microsoft dtv decoder. NextPVR @ ~48% cpu usage (npvr.exe is multithreading now?) on an i5-2500K @ 2,8 GHz.
It's not network related. I have just tested 3 simultaneous playbacks of the same channel. NextPVR on the left, Graphedit, VLC and Windows Media Player. They all played the same file and only NextPVR was stuttering.
I am still planning on my new setup going to NPVR - I am thinking of having a SSD HD to keep noise down in living room - and then move recordings to a network disc in order not to fill up to disc (SSD = only 120 GB). I would like to see the recordings as recording including EPG info of course.
I use LAV Splitter to play back my blu-ray rips (index.bdmv) in NPVR. Some of them play back with very little CPU usage and when I check in graphedit the video is listed as 'AVC1' using the 'Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder'. However, some of them have significantly more CPU usage and graphedit reports them as 'WVC1' using the 'WM Video Decoder DMO'. Can anyone help me get accelerated playback for these 'WVC1' types? I have tried to register the LAV Video filters but these never seem to be used. Thanks.

I know this sort of stuff causes problems in Java if not done correctly, where the solution is a simple SwingUtilities.invoke... method similar to the above, and sub has mentioned in the past it would cause problems with NPVR too. I've certainly seen (rare) cases in the System plugin where the text suddenly renders nowhere near its location according to the skin (usually way out on the x-axis). I figured it might be down to the background threading I use, but I've also seen that problem once - and just the once - with the now/next popup too.
Regardless of that, I'd like to know I was doing it properly anyway.
With 2.3.6 I still have a problem with delayed resume from forward skipping, either the "small skip" or the "large skip" when playing .ts files recorded by NPVR.
Background: I have a low power system (Sempron 2800/9600Pro/Win7) in the downstairs family room that I use to play recordings from two other NPVR boxes by way of the Videos menu. The videos of interest are all either GBPVR or NPVR recordings. The programs are US clear QAM MPEG, and the GBPVR recordings use the ATI or dvr-ms mux. The NPVR recordings are .ts. This low power system plays the recordings just fine, smooth video, no sync, etc.
On the low power system, there is frequently (at least 2/3 of the time) a long delay in restarting the video after a forward skip. This existed in 2.2.6 as well. With 2.3.6, skipping while paused now works great, no delay in restarting at the new point. Also, I have not seen a problem in reverse skipping. In the logs attached, the two forward skips of Combat Hospital took 37 secs and 22 secs to restart the video. I added a comment in the logs at these two points, noted by >>>>. The image jumped to the new point "immediately", but remained still for the 37 or 22 secs until motion resumed. There was no audio until motion resumed.
This does not exist on either of the other, higher power, NPVR boxes on 2.2.6.
The dvr-ms recording (MI-5) skips just fine, either direction, and these recordings have always been fine.
I note in the log that the .ts file uses the AC3 Audio Renderer, while the dvr-ms file uses the default direct sound device. Maybe that program does not have AC3 audio, so perhaps not significant.
