I've finally made the upgrade to NPVR, and am try to set up an analog tuner with IR blaster. GBPVR had a tuner option to set the 'constant channel' (3 in my case). I didn't see a similar option in NPVR. Thank you.
I haven't used NEWA much, but decided to have a play with it tonight. I installed 2.3.6 a couple of nights ago.
In the TV Guide, it won't show me channel #'s 2, 3 or any above 30. I see 4-29 fine. I tried creating a group with just channel 2 and 3, and when I select that group in NEWA, I see none at all. Likewise I already had a group of HD channels, and when I select that I see only the ones in the group between 4 and 29. I seem to have a bunch of exceptions in the log, attached.
when I record with NPVR or Win TV7 .. with 2.0 channel sounds .. all is fine but with dolby digital 5.1 sound ( optical ) .. sometimes it freezes when I forward commercials or when theres a lil freeze on my cable provider ..
audio decode is done external via (hdmi passthru ) surround receiver
im running latest NPVR and win 7 pro (x86)
capture / playback / MVP / EPG ect. all works fine
my problem is codec setup:
i configured my machine with this guide (for MPC) http://imouto.my/watching-h264-videos-using-dxva/ then mkv play back was fine (cpu load was less than 10 pct.) but halli splitter diddent show internal sub from mkv file in EVR render (it still told me about the sub streams and it was selectable but didn't show)
now i run latest SAF (unlocked) in EVR render
subs work fine but playback is horrible - it feels like hardware render doesn't work (deselecting subs don't help)
grapstudionext show that play back is run via NV12 output so it have to be done via hardware or....
im stuck; can anybody point me in the right direction either via SAF or tell me how to make halli splitter show subs in EVR render
In previous versions I sometimes got a recording that was really small (200 MB) and didn't play at all. I was hoping this was solved with the latest version (out of process recording), but unfortunately it happened again. I tried to record "De Wereld draait door (VARA)" at 19:29, it recorded something, but it's only 219 MB and it doesn't play. The file properties show the file was last edited at the end time of the show, so npvr was definitely recording, just without audio and video . Logs attached.
hi:
started using npvr and have some problems with live tv picture which i believe are deinterlacing problems. my m/b is asus m4a785 with hd4200 onboard video. im using ati vivo codecs. this will correct itself if i toggle from auto to fill, but fill does stretch a little. this is being test on a computer monitor, but will eventually be run on an hdtv. im wondering if the hdtv will deinterlace correctly. it does not do it on every channel. i have tried ffdshow and that does not cause this problem, but the ati decoder only uses about 20% cpu whereas the ffdshow runs in the 80% range. any ideas?
Yesterday, i updated my EPG (UK Freeview) and then set a few Genre colours using the new set-up screen. Today i went back into the Genre set-up and noticed that they were all duplicated. I tried emptying the EPG and reloading but it is still the same.
The odd thing is that if i change the colour for one of the duplicated items, then close and re-open, it changes them both. So they really are duplicates.
I can add logs etc if that will help. Is there any way i can clear the list?
I just updated to 2.3.6 with no other changes and suddenly all my HDHR recordings are failing. The log says "No BDA capture filter for this device"?? Is there some additional setup I have to do for the HDHR for this new version (it was working fine with NPVR before)?
