  Reverting to 'Default' Guide
Posted by: kylebrophy - 2012-01-11, 01:54 AM - Forum: TV Listings - Replies (14)

Hi Everyone,

Is anyone else having an issue with TVListings continually reverting to the standard 'default' guide each time they go into the settings?

When i go into listings and check on the TVListings addin - any guides i had defined are now gone, and the program then uses 'default'. I recreate another 1-2 guides, assign the various channels to each that i want and save the settings. i can go back into the settings immediately after and the guides are still listed.

however if for some reason i go back a day or two later - the guides have all disappeared again.

Is there a particular log that i could check and see if i can find out why this is happening?

  Plug In Version Numbers
Posted by: smajor - 2012-01-10, 06:59 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (16)

I'm looking at my NPVR plug in screen and I have no way to tell what version of a plug in is installed.

Could a column be added for that?

  WebRadio

I see that McBainUK has done some really nice work on this page on the wiki but I'm not totally sure all the information is 100% relevant to NextPVR (like the reference to batch files for example) & I'm also not sure the linked file is the latest version??

I am trying to get my clean install of NextPVR updated to the latest versions of all the plugins etc. that I use all the time & WebRadio is right up near the top of that list for me, can someone confirm that "v3.6 Updated 2011-04-08" that is on the wiki is the latest version?

I also will be using it on my NMT's but I don't think "Download:UbuRecordingServiceSetup.zip" as a separate file is is now required? (but it is a very long time ago (& the very first beta) that I got up & running on with my last clean install so I can't remember)

  Painfully Slow FF & RW
Posted by: imauser - 2012-01-10, 05:27 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (2)

When watching back a recorded program or resuming live tv from pause my playback and fast forward functions are virtually unusable.

When I attempt to fast forward by even a single press of the > key on my keyboard often times the screen goes black and nothing happens for 30-45 seconds, after which playback will resume maybe 10 seconds from where it originally left off.

So I wait 30 seconds to skip ahead 10 seconds. It's the same with trying to rewind.

My PC is somewhat old and limited - a single core P4 2.8Ghz with 1.5GB RAM, however I was originally using WMC 7 and even though it ran my processor at nearly 95% always, fast forward and rewind did work smoothly.

NextPVR on the other hand only taxes my CPU at around 25%, but FF and RW are not usable.

Any ideas or suggestions??

  Fine tuning analoque tuner frequencies
Posted by: erik - 2012-01-10, 01:36 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (1)

I searched the forum but could not find.....

In the Netherlands some cable companies do transmit off the cable channels

For DVB-T tuners it is possible to finetune the channel frequencies in the tuner ini files
Is there any way I can set the exact tuner channel frequencies for analoque channels?

Example: frequency should be: 720000000 (as set in GBPVR)

Can I edit the tuning settings in the npvr.db3?
Any field to adapt in this?

<tuning>
<type>Analog</type>
<locator>
<channel>1</channel>
<country>31</country>
<input>cable</input>
<source>Tuner</source>
<fixed>2</fixed>
</locator>
</tuning>

  Feature Request: TvRecordings : Vidoes
Posted by: vanderwelc - 2012-01-10, 08:57 AM - Forum: TV Listings - Replies (1)

Hi,

I'm trying to find a way to duplicate the videos screen, one display 1 set of local folders and the other a set of folders from a removable drive.

for example videos1 has d:\tv\
and videos2 has e:\tv_portable\

As current the screen will crash if any folder no longer exists.

also on the details popup of the videos section of TvRecordings I would like to see the 5th button, "Delete"
i see that i can alter the DetailsPopup.xml visibleButtons="4" but this does not change the gui correctly
is it possible to at least 5 buttons?

is it possible to make the number of visible rows adjustable via the options, I've found I can alter the visibleRows="8" and set the size to a smaller value but this does not produce the best results. TvRecordings.xml

Thanks

  Failed Recordings
Posted by: ottoguy - 2012-01-10, 03:53 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (5)

I have had problems with failed recordings and the recording service hanging. I had setup the recording service to restart ever night shortly after midnight and this resolved most of the issues. However I recently got an NMT and it seems to hang when the recording service is restarted. I disabled the recording service restart and now have the failed recordings again.

Last night there were 4 failed recordings. Also this morning it seems the recording service was hung as it wouldn't play live tv until I restarted the recording service. I have attached logs. The first logs Nrecord.log.zip are before I restarted the recording service, and the Nrecord2.zip are after restarting the service this morning.

The failed shows were:
Pawn Stars Monday, January 09, 2012 12:31 AM - 1:01 AM
Pawn Stars Monday, January 09, 2012 12:01 AM - 12:31 AM
Drugs, Inc Monday, January 09, 2012 12:00 AM - 1:00 AM
Dance Moms Sunday, January 08, 2012 11:00 PM - 12:01 AM

In case it helps I'm running windows 7, with an HDhomerun Prime tuner. All of the patches have been applied to NPVR per the Final.zip file.

  DVB-C, CI w paired CAM: which hardware supported: Anysee E7T2C, Terratec H7, ....
Posted by: jasjol - 2012-01-09, 11:37 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (13)

I am building a new HTPC and can have external or internal capture device for DVB-C - I do need CI support and will have CAM (CryptoGuard) with paired card.

I have been spending hours looking at different DVB-C capture devices and as I have Hauppauge 150 today I looked into HVR-930C but I saw quite some reports of that the device do not work so good - and I did not find any other Hauppauge device with DVB-C with CI support.

some devices below looked good although some of them quite expensive and .

Are some of these not supported in NPVR (using CI and paired card/CAM)?

Anyone who uses them with CI/CAM?

can I use several or will they conflict so I need different brands/models?

can any device use one CAM/card for several capture devides or do I need one CI and CAM/card per device?

anything else I should think about or another device you know work well in NPVR and with CI?
