Hey sub - i have an issue with my tvguide - sometimes I have to press the arrows a couple or 3 times to move just one show in the time line
below is a couple of screen shots - both highlighting what should be celeb apprentice that starts next tuesday - the first image is highlighting "confidential" which isnt even shown on screen, and then when i hit the right arrow key one more time it then shows the details for "celeb apprentice"
also note in the image that amazing race oz is set to record but doesnt highlight. I have 2x nova S+ cards and i wonder if its showing 2 tvguides - one on top of the other causing the problem?? also i wonder if that has something to do with the duplicate recordings i sometimes get?

I dont know if logs are going to be of any use but here they are
It's easy to change params of hdpvr without having TME even installed!
when i got an optical cable, i didn't want to have to install TME just to change the audio input, so i opened the filters in graphedit to see what was actually changeable..
And turns out, lots in there to play with...[compression settings, filters, etc]
Seems like they all stick when set this way too...
[This should also work for *any* tuner, including Colossus]
Anyways, to change audio inputs to optical:
download and open graphedit...
insert Hauppauge HD PVR Crossbar filter.
double click the filter, should look like pic below...
on right side, select 'video decoder out' and change to 'audio decoder out'.
on left side, change to the audio selection you desire, hit apply..
change right side from audio to video and back to make sure it stays..
notice the 'Current input' and 'Related pin', they should show how you want it to be set..[ignore what it says when 'video decoder out' is selected on right side]
as long as when audio is selected on right, the left side info show s correct it's all good..
Done!
now go play with encoder settings if you want to[HD PVR Encoder filter]...i just disabled all filters..mostly they just clean up snow w/by-product of blurring pic..
[note: all bitrate settings get overwritten by npvr when recording, so no use changing those]
I'm trying to install npvr on a computer with this graphic card, but I get a bsod in NV4_MINI.SYS as soon as I start NextPVR. Anyone else seen this and possibly have a solution? I have tha latest drivers installed and runs W7Ux86.
After six months in storage, my faithful GBPVR-based media centre has developed one very odd behaviour: a scheduled recording will no longer wake it from sleep, as it always has before. I know that sleep problems are common, but the reason that this is so odd is because other scheduled tasks wake it just fine, as does a button on my remote control. Has anyone solved a similar problem?
Before anyone asks: yes, I am still using GBPVR, and I have little choice. The main purpose of my media centre is to simulate American TV channels by streaming live feeds from the internet. Unless someone has created a plugin for NPVR (or Mediaportal) that is similar to CarpeVideo's GraphRecorder, I will have to keep using the legacy system. I hope someone can help with it.
They're funky. Had a conversation with some folks here once upon a time about that very thing, but can't find it just now. I can watch them fine, but should I strip the commercials and try to compress, things go funky. AutoGK finds way more frames than it expects and sometimes refuses to continue. If it finishes both passes, the resulting compressed file consistently has weird audio issues. Sometimes it has background audio (like car noises, wind, music etc) but no dialog. Sometimes the sync is way off (like 30 minutes, not milliseconds). Whatever happens, it doesn't happen to my Fox or NBC keepers, just ABC. I remember these issues going back to Lost and more recently, V.
If I ever had a solution I can't recall what it was. This weekend I've been working with some files. I've tried VideoRedo Plus' quickstream fix, no help. I tried using videoredo to reencode the audio track (helps when there's a signal interruption and slight audio sync issues), no help. I tried mpeg2repair, no help. Now I've demuxed and remuxed with tsmuxer and am awaiting results.
Anyone else ever run into anything like this, or have any suggestions?
I've been wondering why have multiple recordings occasionally and I think I have found the reason. I use Ctrl-K to save live TV regularly but on ATSC (and I assume any multi-rec) this just creates a new instance. I have found that as long as you keep holding Ctrl-K multiple records are made, in my testing that can be as little as 63ms after the first key stroke is pushed, which is not a lot of time for the confirmation to make it to the screen. I held it down for a second and I had seven copies. It would be nice if Ctrl-K would only record once.
I used the SageTV Import Utility to import my recordings into NPVR. They are MKV (MPEG-4) files that play fine on my server in NPVR. However, when I try to play them on a client PC it shows a black screen for a split second and then goes back to the recording list. They play fine from the "Videos" section on the client so I can only assume there might be an issue streaming MKV files. There are no errors in the log files.
Hello everyone,
Have had NPVR installed for about 2 months, all was well. Then I started having a problem during the last week with the EPG not being updated when pressing the button in settings-channels. All the correct channels were listed but it wasn't updating. Checking the logs, I was getting my nightly update from mc2xml, it just wasn't being "used" by NPVR. After a week I had "no details" on all channels. I tried the easy step first by deleting the xmltv.xml file and the mc2xml.dat file, then running the mc2xml. exe again. This didn't change anything. Out of desperation, I went to settings-channels and deleted all channels and reran mx2xml again. This time the channels didn't come back to the channels setting. I finally uninstalled NPVR and reinstalled. No change. No channels showing in settings.
Any help will be appreciated

Hi all,
Just want some info about this GBPVR or NPVR.
Right here we go had a look at mediacenter in windows 7 ,good but need a client/server type setup and looked at mediaportal also and GBPVR and NPVR (reson i choose these three is live tv is must) mediaportal on paper looks like a winner cos it has movie plugins and a tv series plugin like xbmc, but cant find anythink like a movie plugin and a tv series plugin where they both get meta data from IMDB,the movieDB,the TVDB site's so thats why if anyone can give me info on that please cos at mo im ready to install any of these htpc front ends or mediacenters software .
This morning I programmed a recording to last from 7:20 to 9:55 with pre- and postpadding (not sure how much). Now there's only a recording of 00:54:27. I've had no crashes. Logs attached.
