  Enhance InfoXML?
Posted by: cncb - 2011-09-18, 09:03 PM - Forum: NextPVR Enhanced Web Admin (NEWA) - Replies (7)

Any chance you might consider adding the recording schedule (detailed list of upcoming and currently recording programs) to the InfoXML data? I am thinking about modifying my SageTV Windows desktop gadget for NPVR. Thanks.

  Add -delete option to NScriptHelper.exe
Posted by: gEd - 2011-09-18, 07:33 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (2)

I am hacking my postprocessing.bat so that if a show has a subtitle and the file "%title% - %subtitle%" already exists, I want to delete the recording from disk AND from the npvr database
This seems like a practical way to avoid duplicates even if it is only removing them after the recording has actually been made.

I use Alibert's TV Recordings plugin and it doesn't remove missing recordings like the built in plugin does sooo.... would it be possible to have a -delete option for NScriptHelper.exe that will remove the recording from the database.

cheers

  Screen settings for HDTV
Posted by: pcostanza - 2011-09-18, 03:47 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - No Replies

It's just so sad that my 15 year old 32" CRT died and now I had to buy an HDTV. I am curious what screen settings might work best for a 47" 1080 with my PCH. I'm interested in others who have a same or very close in size TV and what screen settings they use.

Difficult to enter Advanced Rules in Manual Recordings
Posted by: XJW - 2011-09-18, 02:05 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (6)

Advanced Rules with more than one condition are very difficult to enter as you can only see part of the rule when you are typing it in.

Can you make the Advanced Rules field 3 lines instead of one line to facilitate editing ?

This may be a bigger issue for those of us with 4:3 screens. Although I suspect even users with a high res widescreen would have difficulty entering an advanced rule that checks whether the start time falls between two boundary times.

Import Recurring Recordings fails for "All Channels"
Posted by: XJW - 2011-09-18, 01:56 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (4)

I have setup recurring recordings with the standard NPVR Manual Recordings screen using the "All Channels" option.

If I export the recordings and then try to import the recurring recording file it fails with the following log.

Does import recurring recordings work for "All Channels" ?

Back after years -- question on digitalTV with encrypted ziggo
Posted by: MaBo - 2011-09-18, 12:53 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (9)

Hello GBPVR fans, and sub in particular -- ehm sorry, NextPVR fans,

I'm back on this forum after years. I've been using GBPVR from it's very start. I remember getting an early version (simple executable) from sub because of a question of mine on some forum. I was using a Hauppauge 350 card, and was looking for a way to use its tv-out optimally. sub was able to deliver that. And the same hardware setup is running until today. The last gbpvr version that supported the 350's tv-out is driving it to good satisfaction.

Now I'm looking into a new setup as our cable provider has reduced the number of analog channels too much. But, and that is my question, is nextpvr able to provide a stable pvr with the encoded digital tv from dutch ziggo? Any Dutch users with concrete experiences?
I found on this forum some struggles from 2009, a link to this post from 2009. But sub has also created some new features recently, I found Smile

So what is the current state of affairs?

With kind regards,
Maarten

Error in advanced rules breaks recurring recordings

I was halfway through editing an advanced rule and saved the manual recording. I can no longer access Recurring Recordings. It produces an unhandled exception.

  HVR-1600 simultaneous recordings
Posted by: VE6CPU - 2011-09-17, 06:55 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (4)

I think everyone is going to be tired of hearing from me by the end of the weekend!

I've got my HVR-1600 and HVR-1255 installed in one box. I'm able to use both cards and did a test where I was watching analog tv from the hvr-1600. I then started two recordings from the web portal using the ATSC inputs on the 1600 and 1250. It worked just fine.

So I went to setup my recordings for Monday night. I setup the two ATSC recordings and it accepted them. Then went to setup a recording that uses the analog and it complained that there where no tuners available. Why? Am I missing something?

Just a note on setup. In the devices section I have disabled the analog port on the 1250 and also disabled the QAM ports on both cards.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Stephen

Swap skip keys with channel keys in menus
Posted by: tomper - 2011-09-17, 02:03 PM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

The main thing holding me back from upgrading to NPVR is the removal of the option to use the skip keys as page up/page down in the various lists.

Any chance of getting that option back? I assume it was removed because the skip keys are used for something else in NPVR so maybe a "swap skip keys with channel keys in menus" option would be possible.

Thanks

Auto aspect ratio does not work any more for 4:3 h264 re-encoded files in 2.2.6
Posted by: theBored - 2011-09-17, 12:51 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (8)

I re-encode the recordings using handbrake. Before 2.2.6, if the aspect ratio initially did not work for a recordings, I just had to toggle the full screen button on the remote (or alt+Enter on the keyboard) twice, and the correct aspect ratio was chosen. Now, for 4:3 ratio files, I have to choose pillarbox, the auto setting does not work any more. Usually the files have a resolution of about 528x400. (the height is fixed to 400, handbrake autocrops them).

Is there any quick fix for this? Thanks!
