I was wondering if NextPVR supports CACs (Dishnetwork or DirectTV access cards) and/or a way to manually input encryption keys or if it is only DVB Free-to-Air.
Hello, I would just like to post about a situation I had while installing on Debian 12.
I use an USB HDMI capture device as an extra and ffmpeg utilizing intel hardware acceleration via vaapi.
I had to add the user nextpvr to the render group as ffmpeg was failing to open the /dev/dri/renderD128 driver.
Maybe it was just my setup, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
Good afternoon. So I recently upgraded to NextPVR 6 after a bit of tussling. I'm not exactly friends with NPVR's top brass right now. But I digress.
So I played back a couple of videos that were recorded on NPVR 4. What I noticed was that the video, once it reached a commercial break, would stop playing instead of skipping past the commercial break into the next segment. I would have to right click on the app to stop the video, and then resume playing it from the recorded shows list.
This is happening on NPVR 6. NPVR 4 didn't have this issue. The break was identified on the timeline, skipped past it, and played the following segment of the show without any hesitation.
I use mattHuisman's links in NextPVR to watch TVNZ as I live in a place with no arial support Need a satdish and a fireviewbox for tv.
TVNZ has now changed from ffmpeg to Wildvine DRM im guessing NextPVR does not support it
will it support it? or are the certs to much to buy
All was well until today but haven't looked at the guide for a few days. Today all channels report "no listing". So checked XC services with a client app and listings are fine there. Updated app from 6.x to 6.1.4.230625, no listings. Deleted the npvr.db3 and rebooted PC. Re-added tuner and XC sources, then updated the EPG. Still no listings.
I just had just accepted an update of OSMC on my RPi 3b+ yesterday, but the NextPVR Client now fails to load.
When I go into the settings on the RPi and try to enable the NextPVR PVR client 20.4.1, I get a popup window that says "NextPVR version not supported, Upgrade to '5.2.0' or higher!
Is this refering to the client or the backend? I am running a V4 backend on my Win10 media server.
I tried clicking on the "versions" button in the setting screen for the client, but a dialog saying no new versions are found.
I did notice on first boot that a different looking Kodi splash screen loaded, (only did it on first boot) so maybe that's got something to do with it?
I've recently been testing uidroid 1.7.22 on a TV Box and I noticed what appears to be a minor problem.
The builtin configuration detects NextPVR V4 servers but if you attempt to connect to one
then uidroid fails in an endless loop. To get out of the loop you need to go into
the Android settings and delete all data associated with the app.
Do any releases of uidroid support NextPVR V4.2.5?
My main problem, apart from the above issue, is that random videos fail to play and return error messages:
Hi folks, I recently switched from mythtv to nextpvr and so far I think it's great. There's one thing though which I can't manage to get working. When I click "Update EPG" it works just fine, scans all the channels for EPG and fills it in. However, it will never automatically do that. Every week I'm running out of EPG and I'll have to go to the web interface and update it again manually. What am I missing? I digged through all the settings in the web interface and I couldn't find anything that would allow enabling/disabling automatic EPG update scans.
I just setup Nextpvr on a MINT Linux system, and am trying to trying to use an xmltv.xml file as a channel guide. I added the following path "file:///home/user/xmltv.xml" under xmltv channel lineup. When I went to configure the channels, it seems that Nextpvr can't read the xmltv file. None of the channels are listed.
Tried reading HELP file and other posts, but nothing that helps.
It's on http://localhost:8866/settings.html# Settings->Devices page?,I Try to Import one channel on Devices Import using m3u,and finally i click save, however, nothing goes on,it sill said This device currently has no channels, hit the Scan or Import buttons to add channels to this device. Even refreshing is useless
