I'm confused.
Have NPVR working with an earlier release (Oct 2010).
My Hauppauge Nova Usb tuner scans and finds all freeview channels.
When I tried to upgrade to the Mar 2011 release I find none. This also happened with the Dec 2010 release. Having had a look at the DvbS tuning files I find from Oct 2010
I went to watch live tv on my ATSC tuner today and NextPVR said tuner not found, and sure enough config said Present No Enabled Yes. I rebooted with no change. So rooting around in services, I noticed that for some reason the Microsoft Media Centre Scheduler had become enabled (I have it set Manual), I turned it off and NPVR immediately found the tuner.
Would it be possible to have NRecord try and either stop this with
net stop ehSched
or provide a pre-recording.bat file? When it is not running this will run quickly and when it is started the wait will be worth it.
I'm looking at the Netgear MCAB1001 MoCa kit and wondered if anyone has tried anything MoCa and had an opinion on it.
I'd rather not waste a day trying to run cable in a 2 story house and risk messing up my home......I don't have the tools and especially the patience and these kits look pretty good.
Opening screen is TV guide. Selected a channel. Hit enter. Selected WATCH. Unhandled exception with the following details:

Now that I have MB4 out there I want to build Android control of the multiple players in my house. Does anyone have an ideas on what might be the best way to achieve this?
Ideally I'd like to use the NPVR web server as the access point and proxy to control my plugins through a different "page" but I don't know if this is feasible.
For those that have not used MusicLibrary 3 with GBPVR, MB4 is not filesystem based, it uses a database to gather information from music tags and your files. After installing you will need to go into the config screen and do a scan to read in files. For me this takes about 1000 files a minutes. Once you have scanned files spend a bit of time in MB4. It probably will seem odd and maybe slow, but once you get the hang of the navigation it can be easier on big collections. When trying it out you probably should try choices on the menu.
Feel free to read more on the wiki.
Many thanks to Jaggy and ACTCMS for all their help in the design and changes in MB4 and for their comments and alpha testing. Even though this is the first release and I consider it beta they helped make things a lot easier. Of course thanks to psycik for MusicLibrary a lot of it is left intact. Finally thanks to sub for the help as I learned more about skinning and plugins, I almost get it now.
Just migrated my setup to Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit & 2.0.3
Everything appears to be ok, but I need to add one channel manually which doesn't get picked up on the device scan. I had to do the same thing with GBPVR on my old setup.
So how do I add a channel manually using the channel frequency?
(& how do I donate? - I tried & received this error from Paypal: This recipient is currently unable to receive money. Feel free to PM me about this - I'd like to send some $ to help support the dev. efforts)
I am using a Hauppauge HVR-1950 capture card, but there are many options in NPVR, and I'm confused on what exactly I need to do to get it to work with my card.
Hello all,
I'm hoping someone has already tackled this problem and found a cause. I'm using a wired MVP to extend my 2.0.3 NPVR box to the bedroom. After a bit of tinkering, the MVP is booting and loading fine. Also, all of the menus look normal and fit on the screen (4:3).
I'm using a WinTV-HVR-1250 to record NTSC and Clear QAM. Both can be recorded and viewed without issue on the host computer.
When viewing recording on my MVP, analog NTSC recording come across fine while those recorded over the Clear QAM channel have some issues. I performed a test - playing NTSC, 480i, 720p, and 1080i.
NTSC - clear playback with sound.
480i - clear video, clear sound, but out of sync
720p - no video (black screen), choppy sound
1080i - no video (black screen), clear sound
I've attached my logs and config.xml for the test session. If anyone has a few minutes to take a look, I sure would appreciate it.
Approx. log times:
11:07 startup MVP
11:10 NTSC video (MythBusters)
11:12 480i video (Katie Brown Workshop)
11:14 720p video (Religion & Ethics Newsweekly)
11:16 1080i video (Pearlie)
11:18 MVP to standby
