hiya ive just installed the software and have managed to get it working.
but a. my signal doesn't seem to be good enough, some channels, such as 4 music, viva, just show a blank screen.
I used to get this on my freeview box. until I sorted out my aerial. do you need a stronger signal for npvr?
and b. is it possible to have the program play .mkv and .mp4 files? I think ive installed all the right codecs on my computer.
Record all episodes doesn't work for some titles, it appears to be ones containing an apostrophe.
Sequence of actions:
Start NPVR, "TV guide", select program "What's Really In Our Food", "record", "recording type: Record All Episodes, All Channel", "OK", program still green. It doesn't show up in pending recordings but does show up in recurring recordings.
If I repeat but set "recording type: Record Season", it works fine.
I have been having a problem with some Recurring Recordings over recent weeks where they are not being recorded even though the tuner is free. The pattern I think is that I have at some time cancelled âPending Recordingsâ of these programmes either because I already have the particular episode or to enable a higher priority recording to be made by freeing up the tuner. Sometimes the cancelation was for later âtodayâ but others were several days ahead so involved several EPG updates. I have been trying to work out if there is any point manually reconfiguring recordings a day or more ahead as I suspect they are overwritten at the next EPG update. Sometimes its seem like it remembers you have previously cancelled a programme so perhaps you dont want the next one. Also is there a way to prioritise recordings? Some recordings such as those part of a series are higher priority than others which it would be nice to have if there was a tuner free.
I'd really like a function that knows when I've fallen asleep on the sofa halfway through the game, and can resume from the exact point that I fell asleep....
I believe that Channel 4 HD is now available on Freesat on 12607 27500 ,I have tried a number of times to scan for the channel but it it is not detected. Has anyone in the UK managed to detect and set it up.
Hi
I recorded Hellboy 2 on TV4 a few weeks ago, and finally got around to sitting down and watching it with the kids. Recorded OK, but I noticed about a third of the way in, I lost the ability to skip forward through the adds. CNT left or right just stopped working. I have never been able to navigate using the time line bar thingy, so bailed out and finished playing in VLC. Is there an obvious reason the skip stopped, and should I be able to click on the timeline, and move back and forth?? Only a minor problem, but would be nice to sort. Am running NPVR 2.03 with what I believe to be the latest patchs...
I have PVRX2 set up to record 2 Clear QAM programs at a time from a Hauppauge 2250 card and one Clear QAM channel from a Hauppauge 1600 card. Lately, I have been getting recordings of zero bytes long. Today, I tried to find why this is happening. I thought it might be due to my trying to install NextPVR so I uninstalled NextP{VR and rebooted and still got the same problem.
I found that when I defined the 2250 card and chose the QAM version Config cmomes back and says the card is Type ATSC. When I have it rescan all the channels it doesn't find any Clear QAM (local broadcast) channels. I have Verizon FIOS for a cable provider. The CONFIG log shows an error with TVListings but I doubt this is causing my problems.
I suspect that my problems are due to CONFIG thinking that the QAM card is really an ATSC card. What can I do to fix this?
