Cable lineup changed for Clear QAM, and I rescanned and reloaded EPG data to fix issue.
In NEWA, no TV listings appear, but they appear fine in npvr native after EPG reload.
If I search NEWA for an episode, it finds it -- so it somehow sees the data, but is not displaying it in the TV listings. Do I need to delete my recurring recordings that have been there from before the rescan? Is that what is messing up NEWA? Any help to quickly fix this issue, greatly appreciated. Frustrating.
I am about to go on hols. and I'm taking my PCH + a USB drive with some recordings on to keep the nipper entertained, and maybe a few films for us adults to watch. Loading the USB drive is a manual process using the windows file explorer, but that doesn't allow me to see the program info, just the file name and often I have long forgotten the name of a program vs. it's contenr . It would be cool if I could do this from the npvr gui, where I can see the extended program info, a check box or a send to menu item. maybee npvr could also add a txt file description of the program to the drive?
A GUI improvement: some sort of visual indicator of how far down the list I am, like a scroll bar but not interactive. I am with Sub in that I dont like menus that wrap around, but I would still like an indicator as to where I am in the list. I would also like it in the TV guide that does wrap around, I am often to stupid to realise that I've wrapped around and I'm abck at the begining.
I have recently installed NPVR. I can receive all the available channels including the Freeview HD channels that have just been launched in our area. I get vision and audio fine for all the SD channels but can only get vision for the HD channels. I originally tried combinations of the decoders that I had available which were the standard Microsoft DTV-DVD and PowerDVD 10. When these did not work, I tried the K-Lite and SAF5 packs which I downloaded via Google after viewing the forums in these pages. Nothing has worked and I am now at a loss about what to try next.
Hi, im having a problem with the livetv of digital channels.
I have a kworld ub430af (hybrid card) which has analogtv/composite input/dvb-t
I added a composite channel and around +20 dvb-t channels (scanned ok).
When i go to liveTV, ican watch the composite input ok, but if i switch to any of the dvb-t channels, the image is black and no sound, i can see the temp .ts file in the folder and i can even play it with wmp ok, so it should look like a decoder issue in nextpvr, but i cant find a way to solve it.
I tried several codecs with no luck, tried from network in other pc and no luck (same behavior), tried with different renders and all the same.
The codecs i have and tested are:

I can see those channels with TotalMedia 3.5 and use it with no problem there, among other programs.
N-PVR was running fine until I had to Re-install DotNet as a result of a problem with the new version of ATI-Catalyst 11-3 which I need to support my new configuration. I had to update to the latest DotNet and now I get this error. I tried a complete uninstall/reinstall of NPVR to no avail. The recent fixes inluded as well.
As soon as I start NextPVR.exe, it crashes. This happens with both 2.0.3 and the previous version.
I attached a copy of the details from Windows; XP-Pro SP3 by the way.
What else can I try?

PS: Just went back to GBPVR and it works fine, if that's any indication......

First, I have to say that I have tried many softwares for my new HTPC, but NextPVR is the very best.
Unfortunately I have a big problem with the channel scanning.
If I press "scan", the satellite is "0192 ASTRA ... (19.2° E)", it starts scanning, some channels are listed, but after a few minutes, NextPVR brings up a message dialog saying "Created dump file c:\temp\crash.mdump", after clicking OK NextPVR.exe crashs.
(surely I'll attach the .mdump file to this post.)
I read the logs and found an error because of dx9 wasn't installed, so I installed it and it worked...one time. NextPVR says "scan complete", but at clicking OK, net framework showed up an error window, saying the application trys to write data to a locked memory area or something like this. (I had to translate it from german...)
After killing the process (the error showed up everytime I pressed OK or abort) fortunately the channel list was saved. In this period of time everything worked!
Because of nonrelevant reasons, I had to clear the channel list, but now it always crashes while scanning. (I noticed, Windows says the NextPVR.exe is crashed, but in the Taskmanager its still listed, and its not killable by taskmanager)

My cable company recently stopped broadcasting the 700 spectrum and moved to 1000 and above. For months, these operated together. As of April 13, only the 1000 and above are supposed to work. They tell me I should not be getting anything in the 700's but I still do.
In my guide at SD, I removed all 700 channels and re-added the lineups then ran an epg update (SD still shows the 700 channels in the lineup) and though I have disabled all 700 numbers, when I go to my channel map, the local QAM are forced back to the 700 numbers and will not stick on any of the 1000 channels.
Using XMLTV directly, I have no problems. SD is being notified as well but I was hoping there was some way to clear out cache or anything to do with SD and start over.
Am I making any sense?
