Is it possible to change subtitles position? From GBPVR was it possible to write new values to xml file. Is that somehow to change with NPVR? It is so convenient to put subtitles to letterbox area. (BSPlayer and several other media players have such opportunity).
Thank you for great program. I'm using gb-pvr and now npvr very long time.
NPVR seems great but today I found little bug. I have mp3 files in folder by albums. If I open folder and put first file to play, then it goes automatically to next file but highlighted part remains to first song and it shows all time first song name as name of currently playing song. So its playing all album normally, but visually shows only first name of album (or first song what I play).
Sorry for mu English.
I'm still sometimes getting recordings with 2.0.3 that are showing an incorrect recording length on the OSD when I play them on the PCH. I had two occurrances tonight. One was with a recording of "CSI" and the other was with a recording of "America's Next Great Restaurant".
For CSI the lengths show up as:
PCH: 01:04:10
PC: 01:02:59
For America's Next Great Restaurant:
PCH: 00:45:33
PC: 01:00:59
The attached .zip file has logs from playing each on the PC (where the time appears correctly) and the PCH (where the length is wrong). It also includes a putty.log from the PCH and the timing.info files from each of these recordings.
How do I remove a capture device from npvr that is no longer installed? I briefly had a Hauppauge PVR-500 installed, then removed it from the computer and it still shows up in npvr.
I have a number of Manually scheduled recordings. When my computer automatically changed the clock for daylight savings time, these scheduled recordings changed, as if they were internally based on GMT or some other standard that does not observe daylight savings. Of course, the local TV stations do observe daylight savings, so the scheduled records were all wrong. This was true even after completely powering down the computer then restarting, so it seems something wrong with the way that the schedules are stored and not limited to the instance of nPVR that was running during the daylight savings change.
It wasn't all that big a deal to correct my schedules; fortunately I noticed it before any recording was affected. Just thought that you would want to know about this.
How do I completely remove (un-install) the Weather plugin?
I have found Un-installation for the Volume OSD at http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?....VolumeOSD, but it is specific to directories containing the word "Volume". The Weather plugin installation seems to be much more extensive and gets into into .xml files for skins such as the Main Menu.
If nothing else, perhaps someone can give the names of top-level directories to do a text search for the word "Weather" to limit my search effort. I can then post my results for others to use if there is no clean un-install process for this plugin developed yet.
I have just installed the latest Nextpvr and am trying to set up TV/Radio icons. All but 5*(Star) show up ok. In another pvr program it is suggested to use an underscore in place of the not permitted * symbol for the icon name. I have tried all the combinations that I can think of but alas no visible icon so far. As no one appears to have reported this problem it must be my error. Can anyone help please?
$30 for 7 Pro Upgrade (was $65 -- it drops to $30 periodically, but I waited for a pretty long time for the drop), XP is included in the upgrade path. You need an .edu email address to qualify, they could ask for more proof of enrollment down the line, but I don't think they usually do, FWIW. Hope that helps someone.
Still haven't decided what to do with it. I hate to install the x86 version while I wait for my plextor tv402u to die or for analog cable to die and then have to start with a clean slate upgrading to x64. If I really had cash to burn, I'd grab another hard drive (to make up for losing hardware divx encoding), another 2250 and ditch the card, problem solved, but I don't really have cash to burn. Might not have money I can put towards upgrades for a few years. I'll at least start dual booting sometime, play with it so that when I'm no longer anchored down it'll be ready and waiting for me.
While recording timeline is fine till its gets to about half way then it goes to 00:00 and you cant fast forward , but keeps playing fine.
So you just have to watch adds till the end.
Then the recording finishes and today on the server the recording plays fine all the way through time line shows right for whole file
Open up the same file now on client and the time line still goes to 00:00 at about half way
Why?
Where do i start looking ?
Only does it on a few recordings each week (no pattern yet that i can see)
Windows media player and vlc both play file fine(not sure if that means jack shit these days)
