  Bulk Map not working
Posted by: gonzo90017 - 2011-04-07, 11:13 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (3)

I click on Bulk Map, click on the channel, click on the drop down list and map the channel. I click OK. The window seems to hang for aroun 10 seconds. It even shows the "Not Responding" sign. It then goes back to the Channels list and the channel is not mapped. The only way it works is if I don't use the Bulk Map button. In other words if I do it straight from the "Channels" window.

  Setting all channels to XMLTV as Source?
Posted by: gonzo90017 - 2011-04-07, 10:51 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - No Replies

Is there a way to set all my channels with XMLTV as its source? The only way to do it now seems to be by pressing the BULK MAP button but I stil have to set the source one by one.

  NPVR/GBPVR and padding.
Posted by: yyeoh - 2011-04-07, 02:49 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (15)

Hi,

I've been having a recurring problem where if I'm recording a show on channel A from 8:30 to 9:30 and another show on channel B from 9:30 to 10:30, NPVR/GBPVR will decide to use the same tuner that was used for the first show for the second show despite having 2 other free tuners available. This results in the first show not having an ending and the second show often missing the beginning since the start/end times often aren't accurate.

Is there a way to force padding to behave as though the show were infact 20minutes longer(with 10 minutes on both end) so that the tuner remains unavailable during the padding period? Or perhaps to force the alternating of tuners for different channels?

Alternatively, is there an equivalent of pending.log for npvr where I can check which tuner has been assign for recording? While using GBPVR I used that to check if the same tuner had been assigned to back to back shows on different channels and could cancel and reassign recordings to avoid this problem.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

  NPVR 2.03 & HVR 1800 Analog Filter issue
Posted by: Digger - 2011-04-07, 02:08 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (2)

I believe there is an error in the NPVR AnalogDevices.xml filter tag for the Hauppauge HVR 1800:

Default filter entry...

<Device filter="Hauppauge WinTV 885 Video Capture">
<Name>Hauppauge HVR-1800</Name>
<Type>HARD_ENCODE</Type>
<FilterEncoder>Hauppauge WinTV 885 Encoder</FilterEncoder>
</Device>

FilterCheck and WinTV7 CD_2.3c device.ini report...

<FilterEncoder>Hauppauge WinTV 885 MPEG Encoder</FilterEncoder>

It appears [MPEG] is omitted by the NPVR installation. Perhaps someone else could verify and include this change for next release...

  NPVR 2.03 - Programme XXXXX not found in NPVR Database
Posted by: goldberg - 2011-04-07, 01:55 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (8)

My guide doesn't show any data for my channels so I execute my EPG update script and thats when I see the error message. I use mc2xml as my epg source. Sometimes it works for about 1 week and then nothing after that.
If anyone can shed some light, I'd be most appreciative as I've tried to find a solution in the forums but came up empty.

Thanks

  Conflicts working?
Posted by: ottoguy - 2011-04-06, 11:28 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (2)

Are conflicts supposed to be working? or is that in a future release?

I have never once seen anything on the conflicts screen, and I'm sure I've had some.

  Failed recordings - Service not running at the time
Posted by: agerdin - 2011-04-06, 08:42 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (1)

Ive seen quite a few threads about failed recordings but I cannot really see the similarities to my problem hence the new thread. I have already done the dvbfix solution with a new psisdecd.dll recommended in other threads.

Scenario,
Recording 1: Coupling, scheduled April 5 23:45 -- 00:15 from ch BBC Ent
Recording 2: Gökboet, scheduled April 6 00:20 -- 02:35 from ch TV4Film

Recording 1 does record the program and saves the stream (no postprocesing ie comskip is run), However in NPVR it is indicated as a failed recording-Recording service not running at recording time.

Recording 2 does not record anything and is also marked as a failed recording-Recording service not running at recording time.

The above scenario is happening frequently and is not bound to those specific times and channels.

NRecord log is attached.

  GB-PVR + LAVF Audio decoder (DVD)
Posted by: hoborg - 2011-04-06, 04:15 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Is there a way how to add LAVF audio decoder to supported DVD audio decoders?

<SupportedDVDAudioDecoders> is missing in config.xml and adding it manually didnt work :/

Is this possible?

EDIT:
OK, let answer it, LAVF doesn't support DVD navigator + LAVF Audio Decoder yet.

  using EWA on a machine configured as client?
Posted by: lazyslacker - 2011-04-06, 11:12 AM - Forum: NextPVR Enhanced Web Admin (NEWA) - Replies (3)

I have a server running 2.0.3 and the latest EWA, and I have a client machine connected to it, also running 2.0.3. The regular NPVR interface works fine and the EWA interface to the server also works fine. However, I'm not able to access the EWA server (http://localhost:8866/guide.aspx) on the client, only the server. Is the EWA automatically disabled regardless of any settings if it's in client mode? If so, why? and if not, how can I access EWA on my client machine? I'm wanting to do this because my client machine is a much faster computer, capable of transcoding for purposes of streaming over the web with little effort. My server on the other hand is an old machine. The only reason it is able to handle streaming the HD and SD content at all is because of the hardware decoders in my capture cards. It doesn't do transcoding to web-streamable data very well.

Hopefully this problem/question is easy enough to understand. The problem is just that I'm unable to access EWA on the client machine when client mode is turned on. It just never loads the page, instead constantly says "waiting for localhost". It never times out.

Thanks!!

  Event codes
Posted by: mvallevand - 2011-04-05, 11:47 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (10)

I've been having trouble with WebRadio dieing on certain streams on the PC that work fine on the PCH. The PC log events seem to follow the same

2011-04-05 19:35:32.807 [DEBUG][1] GetEventCode() returned: 0x000d
2011-04-05 19:35:32.807 [DEBUG][1] GetEventCode() returned: 0x000e
2011-04-05 19:35:46.678 [DEBUG][1] GetEventCode() returned: 0x0003
2011-04-05 19:36:03.478 [DEBUG][1] GetEventCode() returned: 0x0001
2011-04-05 19:36:03.479 [DEBUG][1] TrackEnded()

What does this sequence mean anything?

Martin
