I'm looking for others experience on how long it takes to change channel or for video to appear when slecting a channel in TV guide. For me it seems to be about 15 seconds but I'm not sure why it takes so long
i'm having trouble getting NPVR to detect my NVIDIA DualTV analog tuners. i installed Hauppage SoftPVR and am able to use the analog tuners on the hvr2250. GBPVR 1.4.7, MCE XP 2005 and VLC are able to find the DualTV tuners. What can i do to fix this?
Thanks!
I'm unable to complete a scan with my HVR 4400 in the new version when multidec is enabled. It's not a big problem as I can disable multidec for the purposes of scanning, but I though I should report it anyway. There was no problem in the previous version.
I get a number of unhandled exceptions, which I can 'continue' past before NPVR finally crashes. Meanwhile my taskbar fills up with N-PVR Multidec icons. Logs, screenshot and exception attached.
I'm having problems getting my Technisat Skystar 2 working with NPVR. I remember it had trouble with GBPVR but the <BDADisableStatusChecks>true</BDADisableStatusChecks> switch removed the problem.
This is however a little different, It manages so find the channels fine but when viewing it just freezes or plays the stream at about 0.1 fps. Refreshes that slow.
I have tried all previous versions of the Technisat Drivers with no luck. DVB in Mediaportal doesn't seem to work either so I just use the normal non BDA drivers and signal is strong and playback smooth unfortunately NPVR doesn't support the B2C2 directly... Sounds like it's something to do with BDA?
I'm using a fresh install of Windows XP SP3 with all updates, latest directx, drivers, and ffdshow... system specifications are as follows:
Sub, you were kind enough in the past to post the source for nPVR's main menu that allowed me to develop the SubMenu plugin. I think your menu has had vertical layout support for a while now, but you've obviously made it more explicit in the latest version. Is there any chance you could repost the latest code so I could see how to port it over to SubMenu and/or give me some hints on what I need to do.
It's equally possible that the original code *did* support vertical menus and I've broken something along the way, so if that was the case, please let me know too
This problem only seems to occur on Saturdays with two programs. I have 6 tuners in the computer where this problem occurs. There is a program on ABC that is recorded from 08:29 until 9:02 (but didn't start recording until 08:30), and a program on WMAQ from 08:57 until 10:02, and one or two other programs that are recording (on other channels) simultaneously. (See uploaded log file) At 9:00, the NBC recording starts recording onto the end of the WLS recording, that should still be recording until 09:02. At 9:02 the ABC recording stops and a new WMAQ recording starts. This is quite the oddity, yes? It seems like the pre and post padding were ignored for the WLS program. Running Win 7 with three HVR-2250s tuning QAM channels.
Just for info, i bought a Hauppauge HVR2250 (1213, which is the MC kit with the Microsoft Remote) board today, installed in an Intel DG965RY board, downloaded the WIndows drivers only from Hauppauge, installed the board, loaded drivers.
All went well, with NPVR v1.5.36 it sees the board fine (both tuners, so 4 inputs). I have not tuned or recorded anything as yet but will update.
The only different between the non MC Kit (known as OEM 1229) is that doesnt have the remote or the IR blaster cables, it does have the daughter board and input cables though, both have the low profile PCI mounting plates as well (mine is in a 2U server so needs to be low profile).
I have updated mvpmcx2o.7z to deal with LiveTV stopping changes in v2.0. If you use your NMT for LiveTV this is a mandatory update. The file is available from NMTInstall2 and direct download.
There is also a significant change for NTSC and PAL viewer. The default screen size has been updated to 800x600 which produces a nicer canvas for the NPVR menus. Most SD users will need to update their config.xml to match. I suggest starting with this
- direct http audio streaming support
- When there is only on audio stream in video, the Audio key on the remote will toggle Left, Right, Stereo. The default is always Stereo.
- disabled navigation in LiveTV since this will likely cause an NMT hangup. Hopefully one way sub will support navigation in LiveTV.
I wish for the ability to schedule multiple EPG updates, or periodic such as every 3 hours or so.
Reason:
Most of the local ATSC broadcasts around here only supply from a few hours to maybe a dozen hours of data. Only a couple of channels supply a day's worth. I have to manually update EPG data in order make sure that recordings via TV Guide work, or to see what's coming on.
