  Move a Whole Page Up/Down
Posted by: obiwan - 2011-02-20, 09:11 PM - Forum: TV Listings - Replies (1)

I have my TV Listings skin on default and display 6 lines of channels.
When I move up or down a page at a time only 5 channel lines are changed, The top or bottom channel moves to the bottom or top of the redrawn list.

Is it possible to have a complete new page displayed? ie: the next 6 channels.

Hangs after recording, and errors after watching live
Posted by: whodares - 2011-02-20, 06:52 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (1)

I have all sorts of problems since upgrading to NPVR. If I reboot my machine, I can record one show, but then if it tries to record another, it'll just hang.

If I watch a live channel, I can't then watch any other channel or record (fails to connect to device).

One of the more confusing items is that I have two input devices.

I've attached some logs of when I rebooted my machine, started NPVR, showed BBC1, then went back to the EPG and selected to watch Channel5

The web and setup sides of NPVR are so much better than GBPVR (Thanks).

Any help would be gratefully received. If you need anything more off me (need me to do any tests, and post logs, let me know)

Anyway to shutdown TV after going into screensaver
Posted by: Elmo Putney - 2011-02-20, 06:34 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (11)

My good lady has no comprehension of energy costs, I frequently come home to 2 TV's being on sitting at the main NPVR menu while shes in another room....I was musing this yesterday and wondered if there was a possible solution.

Would it be possible for NPVR to transmit an IR code to put the TV into standby, and then another if the keyboard is pressed or remote to wake up the TV?

What hardware would be required and what would need to be done to NPVR? I am not a coder and I know nothing about IR blasters and the like ...so this would need some help.

On a related subject back in gbpvr days I tried to get windows powersaving to shut down the display after xx mins of screensaver (bypassing the gbpvr screensaver) this didn't work the screen stayed on but blank...is this because it's a TV not a monitor so lacks support of this function or maybee an HDMI limitation.

  Newbie needs help with HD-PVR
Posted by: johnnyvaneddie - 2011-02-20, 01:50 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (7)

I have been reading for hours but need some help. Am feeding the hdpvr with a dvd burner tuner and everything is there using the arcsoft software that came with my hdpvr but I cant get anything with npvr. Will it work under "live tv" since it is not actually a tuner. I dont know what I am missing and hope someone can give me some help.

  Gmote 2.0
Posted by: treads6464 - 2011-02-19, 11:05 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (2)

For those of you with Android powered phones, there is a nice little app called gmote 2.0 that is free.

You can setup a gmote server on your pvr box and in a pinch use your smartphone as a mouse and keyboard. (You will need wifi in your house for your smartphone to see the pvr box thru)

It definitely is not as good as a full wireless mouse and keyboard but for quick stuff it works rather well.

Enjoy.

  MVP screen position for NPVR
Posted by: SFX Group - 2011-02-19, 09:57 PM - Forum: Add-ons (3rd party plugins, utilities and skins) - No Replies

Hi

Had an application for GBPVR that was a plugin, would run it through the MVP which allowed to adjust the screen, it then print on the screen the settings you need to put in to the config.xml file for that specific MVP.

Anyone have this for NPVR, sort of wares you out running around the house, changing settings by steps of 2 until you get it right (45 mins spent on the first MVP i have).

Works great now though, better than GBPVR which used to crash the MVP every now and again (traffic size i would think).

Phantom tuner (client / server issue)
Posted by: SFX Group - 2011-02-19, 07:25 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (4)

Hi, so here are the basics...

A. PC has NPVR, no tuner, works ok, shared data folder
B. PC has NPVR (same version), with tuner, can see it in NPVR

I connect B to A (B acts as client PC to A), now A shows the tuner that B has, however A doesnt have a card in the physical machine.

I disconnect B from A, A still shows the tuner, now crashes when i check on status, so how do i clear the tuner from the database on A even though theres no tuner in machine A?

Hilighted Hour of the Guide after watching
Posted by: smajor - 2011-02-19, 04:53 PM - Forum: TV Listings - Replies (4)

This is a minor issue, and maybe can be fixed.

Example: If I select a program from the TV Listings at 6pm and start watching Live TV, if I press stop at 8pm to go back to the guide, the guide is still at 6pm. I would then need to scroll over to the correct time to look for something else to watch.

The default NPVR/GBPVR guide always seems to be able to be at the correct time when you went back to it. Could the same be done with TV Listings?

  GBPVR resolution too low
Posted by: Ladotec - 2011-02-19, 04:51 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (9)

Hi All,

During X-mas last year I decided to migrate my computer to Windows7 and hoped it would be an improvement. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get everything working properly as I wanted it to (not just GBPVR). For that reason I went back to Vista and was able to get it all back into it's original state.... almost.

I forgot to backup GBPVR settings before the migration so had to set everything up again by hand. No prob as I had all my notes still available from the first time. However one thing has changed... or not?! And that is that the resolution of th GBPVR menu is off. It isn't crisp at I'm used to but looks as if its in low resolution. It's just the menu (basically GBPVR itself) and not movies (those are fine).

Can any of you perhaps point me in the right direction so I can fix this.

Many thanks.

Lars
