I'm trying to get Analog Capture working on a device, following the approach in the ATI 650 Thread, to add to AnalogDevices.xml. I've got the filter log (and yep johnsonx42, I've got the SoftPVR sorted out) but it doesn't seem to have a line stating any multiplexer filter like the AI one? Or should it just read SOFT_ENCODE with NO FilterEncoder line. I can't read the Chinese, but it seems to say it has "Amalog Capture" of some description.
<Device filter="Magic-Pro Analog Capture">
<Name>Magic-Pro ProHDTV Gold-Silver</Name>
<Type>HARD_ENCODE</Type>
<FilterEncoder>??????????????</FilterEncoder>
</Device>

I know that the tuners are used in top down order for recording and bottom up for live tv, but is there any way to set top down for both recording and live tv?
I would help with my set up where both a svideo in and a DVB-T share half the HVR2200 card and I wanted to make sure that the DVB-T was selected as a last resort, so as not to unintentionally block out the svideo.
Just a small observation, if I resize the NPVR window on the PC when playing, it drops the video but I can still hear audio playing? I'm using EVR setting in NPVR and VMR9 in Nvidia settings. Logs in this thread. http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...tal-Tuners
Both had been working OK for a while, but for some reason when I get the feed via the cable decoder Box, into my Hauppauge WinTV, esp. the sound and sometimes the audio stutters badly. My two FTA Digital Tuners have no problem. I swapped out one WinTV card for a spare I had but same issue, so I don't think it's the card. Tried 3 sets of decoders (Nvidia, ATI, ffmpeg), all same.
I had "the cable guy" over to check out the decoder and teh modem which feeds it (the Telco uses a modem for both the Internet Feed and Broadband TV which goes into the decoder).
I'm at a loss, because the "the cable guy" showed me that when fed straight into the TV, there was no Problem.
My Win7 nPVR unit is hooked to the internet through a wifi adapter. I have S3 power management on it, which is working great on me. The problem is if the machine is sleeping, I can't access it remotely.
On my old unit, i had an old school modem hooked up to it, so I can wake the machine by calling home. That did the trick, except that the machine turned on every time we got a phone call.
Here's my idea: Create a "Don't Power Off" script that I put in a shared Dropbox folder. When the machine is awake (updating EPG, recording, etc...), it checks that folder for that script. If it's there, the machine knows to stay on indefinitely.
When I'm not home, I can access that dropbox folder and put that file there. So it's not an immediate wake, but at the very least, if i'm gone for a few days, I can have some way of accessing my machine if needed....
1. What do you guys think?
2. Is there an easier way to wake remotely?
Hi, trying to upgrade to NPVR on my media PC but every time I try to do a scan of either freeview (dvb-t) or satalite the scan starts, appears to be working then NPVR locks up with the error message "Unexpected error tuning: NPVR System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object." and has to be killed from task manager to get out.
The tuners are all working fine with GBPVR and I have managed to install NPVR on my main / test PC which all works fine. Can't see what I am doing differently, (sure I've just missed something obvious) can any one see a pointer in the logs?
After many years of Gbpvr, decided to try NPVR.
Now the situation is certainly better.
The software is lightwight, fast and well programmed.
There's only a major problem (in my configuration).
Channel managing.
List of problems:
1) Dvb-s scanning crashes; Dvb-t works.In my configuration has always crashed from gbpvr times.
2) Difficulty in adding/modifying transponders .ini files: where to put fec, rollup, modulation etc, like is done in kingofsat's inis?
3) Not very user-orientated channel managing (IMHO): it would be wonderful a very simple, system:after scanning, posibility to choose from the whole list of channels found and add them in different groups (favourites, sky, cyfra, and so on);
4) Don't know if it's already planned, but it would be wonderful to separate tv from radio channels.
Don't get me wrong: I know that we are in early stage of development, only want to improve a very well done piece of software.
Anyway, scan problem is the only thing that makes NPVR unusable.
Logs attached.
Thanks to anyone can help,
sdf
Hi
I like the new 3.4 and have tried to make it default wherever possible but the standard TV guide still pops up when F1 key or MCE Remote GUide button are pressed whilst a Recording is playing. Is it possible to get 3.4 to appear instead?
