I see an app in the iOS app store for Anuvu TV by NextPVR technologies. It says I need an Anuvu server. I see no such animal in Google searches.. Very curious.
BBC One in the UK finally got round to splitting their broadcast to reflect regional news/local programmes.
This means that BBC One HD has (for example) become BBC North West HD or BBC West HD etc.
Since I rebuilt my NVPVR server, I've stopped receiving EPG for BBC One via the Freesat EPG. I've also noticed there are a fair number of less significant channels without EPG data and all the radio channels missing too.
I have been able to fix some of this by switching to terrestrial EPG source but still have a lot of missing EPG data.
Using EPG Collector, I can see the missing Channel EPG information is being broadcast (in the clear) so not sure why NVPVR is missing some channels.
In the case of the BBC One regional channel, I'm seeing a difference between how the channel is named on Terrestrial versus satellite. (e.g. BBC One NWst HD [Terrestrial] & BBC One NW HD [Satellite]). Would this be an issue?
I have tried making a small change to the config file as KingofSat says Freesat EPG is on 11426 H and not 11425 H. That didn't change the missing data.
Some of the channels are only broadcast on satellite so terrestrial EPG isn't an option.
If sub needs a transport stream capture, I can try and get that using EPG Collector.
(And yes Martin I know about Schedules Direct but don't necessarily want to link the server direct to the internet )
Edit
Just seen my post crossed with the previous post on the same subject
I may have the same or similar problem - in my case BBC ONE HD never fills (at least this was the one I noticed!). I noticed since they did the regional news update (I think) it's called BBC ONE Lon HD now which I suppose could be part and parcel of the issue. For info - BBC HD has for years not been able to provide local news after the main news so we switched to a non-HD 'local' bbc one to watch it. Now (I guess) they have a dedicated BBC ONE HD channel for a region and hence the name. I probably have other channels not populating but we only really watch the handful of HD channels in the main so the missus is only upset about one so far
I've captured the full stream this channel sits on in case the data provided helps - I've tried just about everything else but can't get it to ever populate.
I was attempting to watch horse racing while it was recording just now and the playback paused like there was a data error. i looked at the logs and found: PreventMonitorStandby() needs implementation
I rarely have a need to go to the Settings page except to check for a new version. It would be nice if the Settings link would turn green (like the new version available text). I think that would draw attention better when an update became available. It would also be nice if the new version number was also a link to the change log in the forum announcement.
Been using NextPVR for a couple months and I love it! No issues at all until now. My service is running on Windows 11 64bit and I'm using the TabloTV Extra as my source and Schedules Direct for epg. I also use Jellyfin as a front-end most of the time, but for this issue I was directly in the NextPVR web gui at hxxp://serverIP:8866 and then the Windows desktop app as well. Initially I was behind the latest release when the bug happened so I upgraded to 6.1.2.230502 and tried again with no luck. Ok, hopefully that's enough background!
When I created a manual recording through the web client I accidentally forgot to set the channel off of the default first entry in the list to the actual channel I wanted. After I saved it and went back to the Scheduler list I noticed it was set to the incorrect channel so I reopened the entry, changed the channel to the right one, and hit save. At that point I walked away not realizing that the channel had not updated and was still set to the incorrect one. When the recording time came it recorded the old/original/incorrect channel. As I said, I upgraded to 6.1.2.230502 and tried again. In the log bundle you'll see "Manual-Try-1" which was done through the web client initially set to record on channel ID 7148, WFSB-HD at line 2365. Then after I modified it you see it again at line 2739, this time it claims it is now switched to channel ID 7165, WVIT-HD, which is what I wanted it on. But every time GetRecordingsList runs you see it's still set to 7148. When recording time came it definitely did record WFSB-HD and not WVIT-HD.
I then tried the same procedure all within the NextPVR.exe desktop app and created "Manual-Try-2" and that time it did record the proper, updated, channel WVIT-HD. So it must be something about the web version that's not saving properly.
Thanks for all you do, please let me know if there's anything else I can provide.
was doing a test with kodi, let it play my tv through my hauppauge colossus 2. after walking away it seems to have stopped playing and went to the tv guide. is this something to do with the power setting in kodi, nextpvr or pc?
