I'd like to have a single server and assign an analogue card per each room in the house - each family member will watch his own channel, but the recordings will be shared.
Hopefully this is something very simple to solve. Whenever I update my EPG without enhancing with Ultra, the details Pop-up window will show the program image (if available in the media/art folder). When I enhance with Ultra and only add a couple Tags to the Description, the image will no longer show up. I've even re-run the image grabber utility so that the image titles are consistent with my enhanced EPG. Any ideas how I could solve this?
Trying to record simultaneous shows on both the DVB-S and DVB-T on my HVR-4400 results in only a couple of seconds of each show before they just stop records.
This does not happen if I multirec 2 simultaneous shows on the DVB-S.
Hi all,
I've been running GB-PVR 1.4.7 for several months and all was well until about a week and a half ago, when it suddenly stopped working.
The symptom is that when I get the the main screen and hit OK on "Video Library", the MVP thinks for 15-30 seconds, then reboots back to the blue connecting servers screen. This happens over and over, and with both of the two MVP boxes on my network.
Some of the time, if I reboot the server system, the MVP will be able to play a few videos before it starts rebooting, but not always.
Attached is a zip of the contents of the logs directory (with debug logging), I shut down GBPVR and the recording service, cleared the logs directory, started it back up (about 6:40am in these logs), tried a few times to watch a video on the MVP (first time was about 6:42a), then zipped up the logs directory.
The only thing I see in the logs are messages like this, but I'm not sure if they are the issue or not (nor how to fix them if they are the issue).
2011-01-07 06:42:18.072 ERROR [6] Unable to find requested skin image: _TaskImages\Video Library.png
I've done "sfc /scannow", chkdsk /f, reinstalled 1.4.7 a few times and I've run the reregister controls script, nothing seems to change the pattern.
I can't really think of anything else to try....
Help, nothing pierces the brain like a 3 year old that wants to watch DORA! DORA NOW!
(should I be trying the beta npvr? I've been leery, as this setup really needs to "just work" so that my wife and kids can use it).
Setup details:
I only use GB-PVR for playing video on my MVPs, I don't do any recording with it.
Vista Home Premium, 32 bit, with SP2
Core2 Quad dell with 3gb PC-6400 ram
I've been using the 4/05/2007 dongle for quite awhile, that's what I was using
when the problem started, since then, I've also tried the dongle
from Hauppauge v34.25345, no change in behavior.
I have 2 lineups at Schedule direct, digital (used on another pc) and analog for my NPVR machine. When I import channels in NPVR, the listing I get is the digital one, whichever choice I make. The 2 lineups have the same name. In my schedulesdirect.xml, they are well identified with the right channels. Their names are the same, but the digital one's id has an "X" at the end.
I made the switch to NPVR yesterday, I thought all was well but this morning I fired up the PCH and went to live TV, it played about 10 seconds then jumped back to the begining...it did this about 5 times before black screening. It appears repeatable on different channels and different capture sources, though I have not investigated too much yet in case there is something obvious in the logs. (example is around 7:15 today).
Recordings play ok, and my client pc also does live tv without problem......
While I'm here is the weather pluging ok to use now...I know previously it caused issues.
I've noticed that when I mount, using Daemon Tools, an iso file through NPVR, I cannot stop playback. I can pause, fast forward, rewind, etc... but not stop. Ctrl S and Esc do not work. They work everywhere else. Only way I can stop playback is to right click the mouse and choosing "Main Menu".
I have the following recurring recording from 9:59 PM - 10:30 PM CST to record, but instead of recording M-F it actually records Sunday-Thursday. Using v1.5.36 with most recent patches.
