Newbie here and I and can't figure out how to post a log file, or which one to post to help diagnose this issue. I just set up nextPVR with Linux Mint and a QuadHD usb .When I first watched live TV in the web app I had ff and Rewind buttons but they didn't work because of permission issues. . I fixed that, but now the buttons are missing. I can click in the time time bar (not sure if that's the correct name) and get it to FF or rewind, but no buttons. There are buttons for recordings, but not for live viewing. Also, I thought Ctrl + F also made it FF. I also can't find the settings for how far it skips.
I just did a fresh install of the newest version of NextPVR on a brand new Windows 11 machine. This PC is just a desktop that I watch TV on occasionally so I am going to just use the NextPVR Desktop client to replace my old WMC setup. Just a couple of minors issues:
1. For some reason when I open the desktop client, the graphics of the skin are all blurry/pixelated at full screen and I can't seem to figure out why. I checked and I happened to still have an older version 4 installed on a Win7 machine that I tested at one point and it's clear as day in that version.
2. For the EPG, I am using SD and I have channel logos in the proper folder, but they do not appear in the guide. Also, can the desktop app's guide show the genre colors at all? It works on the web app but the desktop app guide isn't color coded at all. It's just black boxes with some grey ones.
My current NPVR system is based on a somewhat old piece of hardware (circa 8+ years old) and running Windows 10 with a Black Gold PCIe dual DVB-t and DVB-S tuners. This gives me 4 possible tuners for recording/viewing.
I'm also still on the old legacy V4 NPVR software (which I have to say works very well 99% of the time).
I'm looking to upgrade the core hardware to a new system capable of windows 11 with latest NPVR software and wondered if switching to using USB based tuners would be viable instead of trying to reuse the old Black Gold card (the manufacturer seems long gone and support non-existent)?
I was thinking of using the Hauppage WinTV-dualHD DVB-T and a couple of WinTV-UnoHD DVB-S USB tuners. The motherboard would support multiple USB 3/2 ports.
The wife often records multiple channels simultaneously whilst playing back previous recordings so that is a must capability. (works well on the existing system without any performance issues). Most recordings are now HD.
Has anyone got any experience or suggestion as to whether multiple USB tuners is a viable build?
Long time since I've posted....short story is, I'm about a year away from retiring but now I'm the only employee (and owner) and I have very little time for life as I do all the things needed to shut down my biz in the next 15 months.
Anyway, we finally got a few ASTC 3 stations in my area and I've been using HDHR 3.0 tuner and I have to say, the picture looks great but I get no sound. I did a quick search and still am not sure what I'm missing. I believe the audio is AC-4 and HDHR recorded files go thru their servers to transcode to a playable format or at least that's what I recall. It's likely my lack of visiting here for ages has caused me to be ignorant but, am I wasting my time?
I will likely get rid of cable and stream only soon and use NPVR for all of my recordings so I hope there's something I can buy to allow audio.
I have had an occasional problem since last year on RPi3 clients and less often on my mini PC client. The symptoms are sometimes when you quit playback the screen goes black and none of the keys on the remote do anything apart from the top right “Menu” key.
"Exit UI Client" works and takes you back to KODI.
"TV Guide" takes you back to a darker than normal TV Guide but pressing any key returns you to the menu item you used to play the recording.
Exit on the main menu does nothing so you have to use Exit UI Client to quit!
The problem started at around 21:14 on the 10th April. This time I saved the Log file at:- HTTP://ix.io/4t99
It seems to be back working today! On previous occasions the solution was to restore from a backup to get it working fully!!
Schedule Direct is now showing a tag on some programs as "Live" in the TV Guide.
Previously, they were tagged as "New".
NextPVR has the capability to use the tag "New" when recording recurring programs, but not tagged as "Live".
Just wondering if there is a way to have NextPVR use the tag "Live" in addition to the tag "New"?

Hello,
I am using the IOS App which is working fine. But I miss the feature to adjust or modify recordings which I scheduled. Is there a way to change them?
Thanks
Sorry if this has been covered but I have looked and looked and cannot find an answer to my issue.
New install everything working perfectly except the channel icons are all missing. The directory (C:\Users\Public\NPVR-Data\media\channels) is empty where they should be and no matter what I do nothing appears.
I have a dedicated machine setup for my snowbird parents to watch tv through a home vpn when they are in Florida for the winter. They have 2 CCWGTVs with kodi installed. Both devices are setup to transcode live tv. One of the devices has been having buffering issues with live tv.
They tell me that constant buffering makes the video unwatchable. Both are not tech savvy so troubleshooting is basically pulling teeth. I have been able to get them to clear the kodi app cache and this solves the issue for about 2 hours until it comes back. Clearing the app cache works every time but only lasts for about the 2 hours.
Is there any setting I might be able to tweak on either backend or client? I know the chromecasts have limited memory. Would adding a hub and memory stick help this issue?
I'm very intrigued with running my IPTV thru NextPVR.
I tried originally setting this up on my linux server using docker but I couldn't get it to work so I thought I'd try with Windows and unfortunately I'm having the same issue.
When I add a new IPTV device and enter my xtream codes and the url -- nextpvr goes thru it's paces and downloads all the channels etc, but then it shows all the channels in a very long list (over 2k channels), and if I scroll to the bottom and hit save, the window doesn't disappear, it just sits there -- almost as if it's not able to complete the transaction.
After some time passes, I just close out and then go back to the device page -- and my IPTV shows up with 2k channels, but when I click on it, it fails to load anything so I'm not able to map the channels etc.
I tried reviewing my logs first but I wasn't able to make anything from them.
I'd love to get this setup and running because I think it'll be incredible to have my IPTV accessed from my web browser!
