I was successfully running Reven's xmlTVNZ for some time but recently I reformatted my Windows 7 PC and could not get it working again (and it appears to no longer be supported) so found EPG Collector which is working fine for my DVB-T programming. Occasionally I want to record something from the output of my cable STB so I need either the cable/Sky EPG or to manually control my PVR. As it is NPVR and sub has not yet instigated manual recording (though I see from a comment of his that it is in what is probably a looong queue of todo's), can anybody please point out how I can get the EPG for cable/Sky (which I could with xmlTVNZ)? I don't have a dish and my tuner is a WinTV-HVR-2200 (DVB-T and Analogue). This problem is not big enough to make me reinstall GBPVR.
Sub, can I have an option to turn off NPVR's MCE remote support? It's nice and all that it works "out-of-the-box" with an MCE remote, but right now it's causing me a lot more problems than it solves.
Thanks.
edit: perhaps I should call this a nevermind, or at least a less-urgent thing. One problem I thought I was having turned out to be a misunderstanding on my part, or a case where something wasn't working for some other reason. I think it would still be reasonable to be able to turn off the MCE remote support in NPVR, or alternately be able to configure the translation table that converts MCE remote commands to virtual key-presses; the hard coded table in GB-PVR didn't work right for me, but so far things are actually OK in NPVR.
My HDHomerun is recording blanks. If I go to C:Temp/manual recordings the recordings are there but have 0 bytes. I didn't change anything sometimes it just starts doing that. It did that once before I did something and it started working right now its recording blanks. What causes this and how do I stop it?
I use comskip in parallelprocessing.bat and it works fine with the exception where I have 2 consecutive recordings on the same channel, the second program does not get comskip.
Second time I'v hit the wrong button with my remote and made a huge mistake:mad:. Sub, can we please have back the "Confirm" in delete -> recordings? :o
If I buy an EGreat EG-M34A or a Popcorn Hour A-110 will I be able to fast forward and backward seamlessly?
I have an xbox 360 and an MVP (wired). On both of these when I try to fast forward videos located on my computer over the LAN, the whole thing freezes up. Would having the egreat or popcorn hour help prevent this from happening?
I'm curious how this should work......I set 1 analog recording in NPVR and 1 in Media Center at the same time. Only the Media Center recording worked and I think it was because it's padding was a minute earlier than NPVR.
So, why would NPVR not record with the second available tuner at the same time MC was? This is obviously something I don't do but I was curious and gave it a try.
I am new to this so be kind
I bought a ATI TV WONDER 600 USB and the software that came with it does not install on my computer. I have a laptop with WIN XP Pro SP3
I was told that GB-PVR is the best I can find short of spending my hard earned and rapidly diminishing money on a different software. I installed the software but have some questions on configuration:
I want to watch live TV, in NEW YORK
1. I do not see anywhere support for my tuner, is there any other tuner in the list that is compatible?
2. I don't really know what EPG is and what do I need to choose in order to be able to watch of-the-air channels
Anybody?
Trying to install gbpvr 1.4.7 on a new system (Windows 7 x64) getting a 1603 error during the install (about the time it's registering the filters).
Found the error in the event log.
I've tried turning off uac, reinstalling the 2005 C++ runtimes, no joy.
Any other suggestions?.
TYhe machine has a copy of npvr on it as well, and i would use that but finding it's not able to use my hvr3000 dvb-s tuner (the dvb-t I think works - hard to tell as I have a nova t 500 in there as well.)
