  NPVR database questions
Posted by: mvallevand - 2010-07-15, 02:01 AM - Forum: Developers - Replies (25)

I notice there are season and episode fields in the epg table (that on some records contains data that doesn't look right). Are these reserved or can we modify them?

If we can modify them could NPVR be changed to use these in the filename as name_S##E##.ts ?

Finally are you playing to bring the genre table into npvr?

  Webradio 3.2
Posted by: pcostanza - 2010-07-14, 11:54 PM - Forum: UbuStream, Web Radio and Universe - Replies (6)

Does WB3.2 do anything to affect a scan? I ask because after installing it, and running a scan, my normal channels do not show up. I do however get 136 encrypted channels to show.
Nice work too! Thanks.

  Installation of GB_PVR 1.4.7
Posted by: Uri - 2010-07-14, 09:33 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

I am new to this so be kind :o
I bought a ATI TV WONDER 600 USB and the software that came with it does not install on my computer. I have a laptop with WIN XP Pro SP3
I was told that GB-PVR is the best I can find short of spending my hard earned and rapidly diminishing money on a different software. I installed the software but have some questions on configuration:
I want to watch live TV, in NEW YORK
1. I do not see anywhere support for my tuner, is there any other tuner in the list that is compatible?
2. I don't really know what EPG is and what do I need to choose in order to be able to watch of-the-air channels
Anybody?

  Web Radio 3.2
Posted by: mvallevand - 2010-07-14, 09:11 PM - Forum: Community Announcements - Replies (9)

An update to Web Radio 3.2 has been uploaded to http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/uploads/Plugin/NWebRadio.zip The main new feature in the plugin is basic support for Digital Radio. This feature was available in Web Radio 2 but sub has made it much easier to configure Digital Radio in NPVR.

To enable Digital Radio in NPVR, when you scan digital tuners all Digital Radio stations will be identified. Select any you want and map and name them like you name TV channels. Assuming you do not want to see them in NPVR's TV Guide edit config.xml to us
<HideRadioInTVGuide>false</HideRadioInTVGuide>

To enable Digital Radio in the new Web Radio 3.2 Config screen tick Digital Radio. The other options you can select are Favourites (saved in Web Radio) and Net Radio (save from GBPVR's Net Radio if it is on the same machine.

Post your support questions here http://forums.gbpvr.com//forumdisplay.ph...-streaming

Good listening

  EPG update error
Posted by: aibo - 2010-07-14, 05:53 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (38)

Version 1.4.7 - XP Pro SP3

Your EPG sources does not appear to be configured correctly. Please check the EPG Source Settings and try again. System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (505) Http Version Not Supported.

I disconnected the PC from internet for about 10 days. When I reconnected it, EPG update failed. I have reinstalled GBPVR and disabled firewall.

Please help.

How to move the gbpvr recordings folder to a new location?
Posted by: navyblue - 2010-07-14, 11:20 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

Installing a new drive to hold the gbpvr recordings and other large media as the current drive no longer has the room to fit it all. I've searched around for a bit and found MpegImport. I would go ahead a give MpegImport a try to see what happens, but I really don't want to mess this up without first asking you guys. Would this be the correct program / plugin to use for moving the recordings folder?

Currently using version 1.4.7. Also if there is already a forum post on this topic, I couldn't find it and do apologize.

  logging bug
Posted by: johnsonx42 - 2010-07-14, 04:23 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - No Replies

When NextPVR and NRecord start, they don't roll existing log files down; the NRECORD.LOG and NPVR.LOG just get overwritten. So I often lose the log that might contain details about a problem (or explain a situation that wasn't a problem).

Also, a more minor thing, when the logs roll because they're full, it'd be nice to see a message like "Rolling...." at the end of the log so you know why the log ended rather than having to check the length to see that it was indeed a full log.
